Any of the packages bought in the store with sweets, croup, flour can contain eggs, from which the larvae can hatch and soon the kitchen turns out to be infected. It is necessary to take as a habit, after purchase, all the bulk substances to pour into the closable containers, with dense lids. Then, even if in some product there is a mole, it will not spread beyond the closed can.

The most comfortable conditions for food moths are high humidity and lack of ventilation. Therefore, the first thing to do is to ensure the safe and proper storage of products. Do not store cereals in plastic bags, place them in plastic or glass containers with tight covers. Throw out all the cans, bags, open packages, or there will not be any sense. If you regret a kilogram of cereals, then you infect all subsequent products with moths that you brought into the house. With infected croup you need to part, and the use of contaminated products will be dangerous to health.

Wash all shelves and cabinets with a soap solution, and then brush, moisten in table vinegar, miss all the cracks and grooves, they can hide larvae of an insect. Then rinse with clean water and wipe dry with a cloth. Leave the kitchen cupboards open until they dry. Often open cabinets and windows, as the moth can not tolerate fresh air. Then ventilate the kitchen and watch for three days, whether there will be new insects in the kitchen. If not, then the operation was a success, start buying other products, immediately put them on hermetically sealed banks.

Just in case, between the banks on the shelves, lay out special traps, maybe a stubborn insect may be hiding somewhere. In a jar of flour and crouches, put a piece of peeled garlic, on the shelves with cereals, spread the bags with pepper. They will cut off the appetite of gluttonous moths. And, instead of pepper, you can take spices, they scare off butterflies - oregano, cloves, bay leaves. It will not affect the smell of food, but the moth will scare you away.

For three weeks, check the products before you use them. To the mole does not penetrate from the neighbors, you need to seal the ventilation holes with a dense mesh or nylon stocking.

Sharp-smelling and insecticidal substances should not be placed in the kitchen next to food. To fight the moth, you need to get sticky strips, and stick them on the inside of the locker doors. This particular flavor will attract a mole, and it will stick to the strips.

An excellent property, repelling moth, is peppermint and sweet clover. These herbs chop and sew them in a gauze or linen bag. Lay them on the shelves of kitchen cabinets. On the windowsill put geranium, this is a preventive natural remedy for butterflies.

You can lay out lemon or orange peels at the corners of the kitchen cabinet. Or to arrange small bags with lavender, this smell does not tolerate a food moth.
