Beauty salon for cats and dogs

More recently, clothes and shoes for dogs were considered, at best, the caprice of their owners. However, the deteriorating ecology of our cities and the unpredictability of weather have convinced many dog owners that a warm outfit for a pet is not a whim but a necessity. Remember the saying: "Weather is such that a good owner of a dog will not drive out of the house"? Will drive out, but only in the appropriate climate clothing, which will survive the cold and wind, without fear of colds. Especially in need of warming small dogs, as well as dogs without wool. So, we open a beauty salon for cats and dogs. Let's start?

To the pet was cheerful and healthy, try to provide it with a pair of overalls and a warm sweater. One jumpsuit should be lightweight, of waterproof fabric and fairly loose, the other - on a warm lining. A sweater for a dog can be any size, but the main thing is that it covers the chest, adjacent to it fairly tightly. This is the minimum set, the rest depends solely on your financial capabilities and desire. But do not forget that the appearance of dog clothes is not the most important criterion. Of course, it's nice to lead a muscular, bulldog, dressed in the style of "military", on the leash, and it would be nice to dress up your favorite lapdog with Colombina: in that case neither you nor your dog will remain unnoticed. However, your four-footed friend will like clothes only if it is convenient for him. You're going for a walk, not a masquerade. Therefore, choosing a dog "costume", you must follow some simple rules.

1. No dog will tolerate clothing associated with the coat of another dog. A subtle scent also reacts to synthetics and cheap paint.

2. Clothes should be practical and easy to wear off

3. For dogs with fine wool, knitted things are preferable to choose on the lining.

4. Dogs hate the extra details that make clothes heavy. Lightning, fasteners and hooks should be minimum.

5. Clothes should not restrain movements.

Dogs in different ways refer to overalls: someone gets used to the new thing from the first day, someone has to persuade a long time. If your dog rebels and does not agree to go out in the clothes you bought, it's probably not the capricious dog that is to blame, but the one who made the overalls. Cheap synthetic fabrics retain the smell of paint for a long time, which can not but irritate the sensitive dog's nose. (Incidentally, it is for this reason that clothes for dogs are never treated with water-repellent sprays). Also, not all fit and fleece lining (knitwear is much softer). If the seams are poorly processed, the edges will cling to the wool, and in the "bare" dogs - mercilessly rub the skin. Therefore, you should not save on quality. Dog health is more expensive.

But if you bought a good enough thing and are sure that there are no serious reasons for displeasure with your pet, but he still does not want to see your gift, treat him with understanding. Perhaps your girlfriend loves tight-fitting sweaters, and you in such clothes somehow uncomfortable. So the dog refuses to wear a thing that is "not his," and has every right to do so. For example, a chi-huahua crumb is unlikely to please a "warmer" made from ordinary wool, for him it is too hard and heavy, and only mohair will do. To learn all the subtleties, it makes sense to consult with a specialist. Ideally, clothing for an animal should be as comfortable as its own skin. Experienced breeder always tells you what it is better to wear a dog with the onset of colds, so that neither you nor your pet has any problems.

We protect paws

On a walk in the cold season, your pet's legs have to experience not the best feelings. Dogs often injure their paws by stepping on sharp splinters of ice, in severe frosts the paw pads can be injured when they come into contact with metal. But neither the steps of the iron stairs, nor the cold mud do not cause such troubles as anti-icing agents, with which the sidewalks are sprinkled. For sensitive dogs, a long walk may result in a visit to the vet. Some contact with reagents causes allergic reactions, itching and severe skin irritation, not to mention scratches and scratches, which inevitably cover the soles of the feet. It happens that exhausted animals even refuse to go out, become restless or, conversely, depressed and apathetic.

Of course, the careful owner will do everything to ensure that the dog does not suffer. After a walk, as expected, paws are washed, inspected, discovered damage, treated with disinfectants. And all these procedures, as a rule, do not bring joy to the dog or its masters. Is not it time, instead of fighting the consequences of contact with reagents, to think about how to avoid this contact?

The best protection for dog paws is special shoes. "Proper" boots are made of waterproof fabric and have the shape of a cylinder, and the denser their sole, the better. The top should be tightened with a lace, no buttons, no Velcro fastenings for dog paws will do: the metal cools in the cold, and the Velcro is difficult to fasten so that the shoes fit tightly to the paws, but at the same time it does not constrain movement. For medium-sized dogs, boots can be found in a pet store, but it's better not to stint and sew shoes on an individual order. But the owners of large and very small dogs can and do not make themselves difficult to find ready-made shoes - non-standard sizes found in the store is very difficult. Help can only beauty salons for cats and dogs.

Why clothes for a cat?

Not only do dogs need clothes. Bald cats - sphinxes also need an additional "skin". We asked to tell about the cat's fashion Natalia Komissarov, the owner of the cattery of the St. Petersburg sphinxes "The Legend of the Pyramids", who has long been fond of sewing clothes for her darlings.

It all started in 2004. We were preparing for the exhibition. I did not find anything directly for cats in pet stores (what is sewed on dogs, does not fit cats because of the difference in the structure of the body), I had to sew the attire myself. So there was the first beautiful and cozy blouse in which my cat stayed the whole exhibition and stayed in a good mood. I realized that the sphinxes are great dandies and it's a pleasure to sew on them. From that moment my hobby began, and now I am a cat couturier. For sewing, only those materials that "approved" my cats are used. Basically it is fleece, velvet, artificial fur. Decorated models Swarovski crystals, beads, embroidery, braid, fur. I'm sure: clothes for naked cats - not a luxury, but a must! It is needed at exhibitions and at home. Even at a summer show, a cat can catch a cold in a draft. A suit will save her from the cold and during transportation. The only thing is to properly accustom the animal to clothing, and not to do something against his will.
