Dates of introduction of complementary foods

In the first year of a child's life, the timing of the introduction of complementary foods depends on the metabolic and physiological characteristics of his body. It is not recommended to introduce complementary foods until the age of 3-4 months of the baby, because at this age his digestive tract is not yet ready to digest this kind of food and is only susceptible to mother's milk and its substitutes. On the other hand, the introduction of complementary foods after 6-7 months significantly increases the risk of developing deficient complications in the child. Often this is the cause of the development of problems with the use of more dense food in comparison with breast milk.
