Prior to this, the sweet-haired Panayotov was not very lucky on the Russian stage. Back in 2002, the Ukrainian singer came to Moscow and took part in the TV project "Become a star", which reached the finals, but did not win.
In 2003, Alexander won the second place in the TV show "People's Artist". Producers Eugene Fridland and Kim Breitburg signed a contract with him, and the singer disappeared from the public view for a long ten years.
And in 2016, the reincarnation of Panayotov happened, he was remembered, taken out of mothballs and sent to the "Voice" in the hope that now his exact hour will strike. The miracle did not happen, at the last stage, he dashingly dashed 20-year-old Daria Antoniuk, burying Alexander's last hope for universal recognition.
But the true mentor put his shoulder to his ward and decided to help him in further promotion on the domestic stage. He has already promised him to organize a solo concert on March 8 in the prestigious metropolitan Crocus City Hall. In the immediate plans of the producer and his ward, the release of a solo album and a trip to the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 as a representative from Russia.
What kind of reception awaits the singer, it's easy to predict. One should at least recall the unsportsmanlike conduct of the judges of Eurovision-2016 in relation to Sergei Lazarev. Expecting an objective assessment of the Russian artist's performance in a hostile attitude towards Russia Kiev is at least naive and ridiculous. From the outside it looks as if they are sending to the mercy of someone who does not feel sorry for, especially a Ukrainian by birth.
