To date, many well-known brands offer to buy ready-made sets for dyeing hair using the Ombre technique at home. But that the color transitions are not too rough and tasteless, one should prepare theoretically.
Basic staining techniques
There are several techniques of "Ombre", which will give your appearance of originality. You can choose any of them by description and try to apply it at home.
- Horizontal. This is the most radical technique, since the difference in the shade between the roots and the tips of the hair is quite substantial. To make the color uniform, brush the hair horizontally. So you not only cover a large area, but also draw a clear border color.
Attention! On how long you will keep the paint on your hair depends the intensity of the color change. But it's better not to do it longer than 45 minutes.
- With a smooth transition. This is a softer way of coloring. It is recommended to brush by the hair in the vertical direction. In the middle of the strands leave less paint and gradually increase its number to the tips. So you get a smooth transition from dark to lighter color. It is recommended to keep paint for no more than half an hour.
- Clarity of tips. This coloring is somewhat reminiscent of a horizontal ombre. The only difference is that the contrast color concentrates on the tips of the hair, and the paint is on the hair for as long as 45 minutes.
- Easy lightening of curls. To color individual strands in a lighter color, apply a small amount of paint to the locks that you want to select, and then comb them. Do not need to keep the paint on your hair for a long time, it will be enough for 15 minutes, because the "Ombre" technique seeks maximum natural appearance.
Rules and tips for staining
Before you start the technique of staining "Ombre" at home, clearly determine which strands you want to lighten.
Important! Contrast tones will make the transitions too coarse, and those close to the natural color of the hair will not give the right contrast.
If your hair is damaged, it is better to refrain from staining. Even such a gentle technique as "Ombre", carried out at home, can cause irreparable harm to the hair.
On dark hair, first apply a clarifier, so that the desired color is well entrenched. Be sure to study the instruction and remember, it's better to choose quality products. Combine the comb beforehand and fasten it with hair clips or elastic bands, so as not to delay the application of the paint.
After the procedure, the hair should be washed with an ordinary shampoo and apply a firming balm. It is better not to use a hairdryer or ironing, so as not to overdry them. If you do everything correctly and carefully prepare for the procedure, the ombre made at home will pleasantly surprise you with the result.
