Only to travel in the same company with your pet, you need to issue a special passport for him and get quite a few official permits. But, do not say that, and traveling with your favorite fur lump is worth it!

So, is it possible to take a cat on a trip? Our answer is: "Yes! ". To move a pet in any form of public transport on the territory of our state, only a few documents are enough:

- a veterinary passport with a note on all necessary vaccinations, which correspond to the age of the pet;

- Veterinary certificate of health of a four-friend.

The train . If you decide to travel by train on the vast expanses of the homeland, remember that animals are equated to hand luggage. By the way, if you transport as many as five cats, you need to conclude a contract for the rental of the whole car. In here, if you are transporting one cat, it will be enough to put it in a travel bag intended for transportation of cats.

Steamboat . Pay a ticket for your pet and happy swimming to you.

The plane . General rules say that the transportation of animals in the general cabin of the aircraft, except guide dogs is prohibited. But the transportation of an animal in the luggage compartment in a special cage is paid at the rate for excess baggage, based on the actual weight of the animal with its container.

The bus . You decided to go round the country by bus, think about your neighbors in the salon. After all, not everyone will like the mewing of a frightened cat. Of course, you can get lucky if a person who adores cats takes a place next to you. But this, unfortunately, is one case of a hundred. Therefore, try to take a ticket to the back or single seat, where you can easily put the container with the cat on the bag under the seat or keep all the way on your hands.

At the airport . At the airport, you will certainly have to pass a special questionnaire in the oral form, where you will be offered a number of questions, to which you must answer without any hesitation. These questions are required to ask employees of the special veterinary service.

1. Surname, name, patronymic ?

These are your data must be entered in the pedigree or a certificate that speaks of the heterogeneity of the cat.

2. Special signs of a cat?

This question in itself includes the identification of thoroughbred cats, which are conducted on a well-read brand or chip.

3. Is the animal sick?

Here you need to confirm the normal state of your animal. First of all, it should be indicated in the veterinary passport of the cat, where the necessary vaccinations are also described. A lot of attention will be paid to vaccination against such a disease as rabies. At the international airport, this passport will be exchanged for an international veterinary certificate.

The countries of the European Union. Take a cat on a trip to European countries, this is a very responsible and risky act. After all, you have to spend a lot of time and effort not only to spend the animal, but also on the cat itself, which will obviously suffer a huge shock.

Incidentally, it is in connection with the increase in the overall increase in the cases of rabies-related rabies among the population of Western Europe, the EU countries have adopted and signed new conditions regarding the importation of pets into their territory. So, all animals (including cats) that have entered the territory of Europe, must necessarily:

- be at least four months of age;

- have a brand or chip for special identification;

- mandatory to have a certificate in which the date of vaccination of the animal against rabies must be indicated;

- have sanitary certificates that allow the removal of a pet;

- to have a reference with the results of the analysis for determining the titer of antibodies that neutralize the rabies virus. This analysis should be made no earlier than thirty days after the vaccination of the animal, and no later than three months before the date of exportation.

By the way, such tests must necessarily be conducted in those laboratories that received special accreditation. To the great regret, in Russia and Ukraine at the moment there are none. But, despite this, our cats have a full and official right to come to the countries of the European Union.

Features of national hospitality in some countries .

Australia . You can import pets into the territory of this country only if you have received advance authorization from a special Australian quarantine infectious service.

Argentina . Import of cats is allowed with a veterinary certificate certified by the consul of the country.

Great Britain . Importing animals to the UK is possible only after a pre-issued import license. In addition, all animals that enter the territory of the country must undergo a special quarantine, which lasts six months.

Germany . You must not only take with you all the documents that testify to the vaccinations made, but also without fail to translate them into German.

Egypt . In the country, it is strictly forbidden to import kittens at the age of up to three months.

Malta and Tahiti . The authorities of these two countries have completely banned the importation of cats into their territory.

Hungary . If you decide to take a cat on a trip to Hungary, do not forget to provide a certificate that no cases of rabies have been reported in the three-month period before removal, within a radius of twenty kilometers where you lived with the cat.

That's the way things are in the world. So, if you are determined to take your cat on a trip, think very well. Will not it be less of a hassle if you leave it to someone from relatives or neighbors. Why once again give your pet a stress. Good luck to you!
