What vaccinations do children in 6 years

Parents in front of the school are probably wondering what vaccines children make at 6 years old. According to the calendar compiled on the basis of order No. 673 of October 30, 2007, the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia, children at 6 years old are given a second vaccination against rubella, measles and mumps.

However, the vaccination schedule is not an absolute value. Vaccination should be carried out taking into account the state of health in the previous 2-4 weeks before the revaccination. Be sure to take into account allergic, neurological, chronic diseases. If there are any allergic manifestations, before the vaccination, the child is usually prescribed before and after the vaccination antihistamines (fenkarol, suprastin).

Rubella

Rubella is an infectious disease. It is easily transmitted by transplacental and airborne droplets. The source of infection is the sick within five days from the beginning of the rash. Most often rubella suffer from babies 2-9 years. Fortunately, after having been ill once, a person acquires a permanent lifelong immunity to this disease. Children easily bear both the inoculation, and the disease itself. Adults suffer rubella very hard. Therefore, this vaccine should not be abandoned.

The first vaccination against rubella is carried out at 12 months. At 6 years of age, a repeated vaccination is carried out. Also from rubella, girls are 13 years old and women who plan pregnancy for 3 months before the alleged conception (if not previously ill). In Russia, the following drugs are registered:

Monocarcinas against rubella : a vaccine produced by Croatia; a vaccine produced in India; Rudivax (France).

Combined vaccines : Prioriks (rubella, mumps, measles) (Belgium); MMP-II (rubella, mumps, measles) (USA).

Measles

Measles is an acute infectious disease. Typically accompanied by a rash, inflammation of the conjunctiva of the eyes and mucosa of the upper respiratory tract. It spreads by airborne droplets. Measles begins as a cold with lethargy, weakness, decreased appetite, increases to 38-39 degrees, the temperature.

The first vaccination against measles is carried out at 12-15 months, the second inoculation before the school is done to children in 6 years. Russia is registered:

Monovirus vaccines against measles : Ruvax (France); measles vaccine (Russia).

Combined vaccines : Prioriks (rubella, mumps, measles) (Belgium); MMP-II (rubella, mumps, measles) (USA).

Parotitis

Epidemic parotitis is also known as mumps. The mumps virus is transmitted by airborne droplets. Once on the mucous membrane, the virus enters the salivary glands, blood and from there affects the central nervous system. The danger of the disease lies in a long latent (latent) period. The first symptoms can appear only after 2-2,5 weeks after infection.

The first vaccination is done at 12 months, and at 6 years of age, the children undergo revaccination. The effectiveness of vaccinations is very high. People who have been vaccinated suffer from mumps very rarely and with a minimum of complications. In Russia registered:

Mono vaccines against mumps (mumps) : mumps vaccine (Russia).

Combined vaccines : Prioriks (rubella, mumps, measles) (Belgium); MMP-II (rubella, mumps, measles) (USA).

It should be remembered that refusing vaccinations, in the future parents make their favorite child vulnerable to dangerous diseases. Especially severe these diseases occur in adulthood. Children who are not vaccinated by age are likely to be refused to attend kindergartens. It is dangerous for them to be in children's groups, sections, clubs, attend mass events because of the high degree of infection. According to statistics, the majority of children who did not pass the vaccine on time, pick up the disease in school.
