Today the possible Russian participant of the annual music contest "Eurovision-2017" became known. 32-year-old finalist of the show "Golos" Alexander Panayotov will go to Kiev. The latest news became known thanks to the festival "Christmas at Rosa Khutor" in Sochi, which was broadcast live on Channel One.
The management of the music broadcasting of this central channel responsible for the broadcasting of Eurovision to Russia approved the candidature of Alexander, and within a month will transfer it to the organizers of the contest in Kiev. The second year of the contestant is chosen exactly during the meeting of the organizing committee, and not through the national selection, as it was before. Alexander Panayotov is still afraid to think about the upcoming participation in the prestigious competition:
I will be happy to represent our country in the competition - for me it is a great honor. But so far I do not want to make any plans.
Alexander added that, being a native of Ukrainian Zaporozhye, he is ready to speak from Russia "with the mission of unification, reconciliation, with a song that would melt all hearts."
At the same time, given the prejudiced attitude of the judges towards Sergei Lazarev's speech last year, the next contest in Kiev does not promise a participant from Russia the slightest chance of winning. So why then should we go there at all? Is not it easier to ignore this event, thus showing its attitude to the impermissible politicization of the music competition?
Iosif Kobzon believes that Russia should ignore the "Eurovision" in Kiev
The same opinion is shared by the famous performer Joseph Kobzon. The singer also believes that it is impossible to give Alexander Panayotov or anyone else "to be torn to American puppets".
On his example Kobzon tried to prove that the new Ukrainian government has no shame, no conscience:
I, too, come from Ukraine and under the first number in the list of those who were banned from entering. I am an honorary citizen of 18 cities of Ukraine, People's Artist and awarded with all degrees for his services to this country. But this does not stop them from pouring mud at me. You can not expect anything good from these people. I think that he has no chance to win.
