Childcare in the first month. What the baby should be able to do

Correct and harmonious care of the child in the first month
When the newly mum has already arrived with her baby from the hospital, there will certainly be a lot of practical questions on the care, nutrition and development of the baby in the first month of life. As a rule, children of this age mostly sleep. Some can dive into sleep and during feeding. Mom, of course, worried about the correctness of the development of her baby and his regime of the day. Let's try to shed some light on this problem and tell a little more about what a kid should do in one month and how to properly feed and care for it.

Harmonious development

Kids of this age begin to adapt actively to new conditions of life. As the child's body just begins to get used to the existence outside the mother's tummy and his body starts to work in a new way, he can lose a little in weight. This is perfectly normal, because in the future he will be able to gain more than half a kilogram at the expense of intensive nutrition.

The main reflex of such children is sucking. If you hold your finger around the baby's mouth, he will fold his lips as if he is preparing to drink breast milk. In addition, if the baby is turned over on the tummy, it will turn the head to the side to have easy access to the air.

In the first month, babies already grab hold of Mom or Dad's finger. Sometimes it's so strong that my mother can even lift the baby in the crib.

If you put the baby upright, he will start to sort out legs, and even be able to do something like the first steps. The main thing is that his legs are not intertwined, but if this happens, it is worthwhile to contact a neurologist.
