People are interested in Buddhism, and they are ready to go to Tibet and spend considerable money on it, but such a trip can hardly be called a quiet rest. Those who are going to Tibet, should know why they go there. Coming for the first time to Tibet, each person faces a special world, and most people from the meeting with this country experience some shock and at times even a shock, but this mainly depends on what people were set up and what they wanted to find here.

Tibet is located in Central Asia, at an altitude of 4,000 above sea level. At the same time, only healthy people can climb to a height of up to 3 thousand meters and above. However, they do not always manage to cope with the emerging unpleasant sensations. At this altitude, the air becomes thin, and most people feel unwell - they breathe and move with difficulty, and often there is nosebleeds - these are manifestations of the so-called "mountain sickness". To facilitate the state, in the trains that go along the iron high-altitude road, oxygen is supplied - in general, the sensations are quite extreme, although you can do without them.

The climate of Tibet is also an interesting topic. No wonder it is called "lunar" because of the noticeable difference between the temperatures at different times of the day. For example, in January at a height of 4 thousand meters in the daytime it is quite warm - about +6 degrees, but at night the temperature can reach -10 degrees. There is always little rain in Tibet. And the air is so dry that even in the mountains the remains of animals dry up, but do not decompose. At the same time, there are more suns in the country than in other countries. In the year of sunny days more than 300, especially in the capital - Lhasa.

In Tibet, a large number of unique and interesting sights, which are the only of its kind, and even briefly impossible to tell about all. Tourists who come here are advised to plan in advance that they will inspect them, otherwise there is a risk not to see anything at all, but simply to get lost in the shrines of Tibet.

There are a couple of words to say about the Potala Palace, which is located in Lhasa. In the world there is no such structure. Today the palace is visited constantly by pilgrims, as well as tourists. This palace exists from the 7th century AD, however the building is modern and was built in the middle of the 17th century. Currently, the palace is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

In the central part of the old town is the Jokhang Monastery. It was founded in the 7th century AD and to this day it looks almost the same - although it was rebuilt more than once, but the layout still remained the same.

In the northern part of Lhasa there is the monastery of Seva. This building is very "Tibetan", it is adhered to the rock. In total there are more than 2 thousand temples and monasteries on the territory of Tibet, and most of them are quite visited.

In its importance, the second city of Tibet is Shigatse. It was in this city that the first Dalai Lama was born.

In Tibet, Kailas mountain is also a natural relic. It is similar to the pyramid, whose faces are looked almost exactly at the sides of the world. This mountain is considered sacred not only by Buddhists.

The most important shrine of Tibet is Namzo Lake. This lake is salty, pilgrims around it make a detour for cleansing and receiving heavenly blessings.

You can go to Tibet when you get a visa to China. In addition, you also need a special permit, which is issued already in China. Among all the directions of China, Tibet is considered to be the most unforgettable and amazing: it is no coincidence that travelers, scientists, researchers from different parts of the world sought for centuries to try to understand what is true harmony and eternal beauty.
