Among the folk remedies for the treatment of otitis, the most famous are compresses. Compresses are divided into dry and wet. With a dry compress, simply put on a warm shawl. This will gradually warm up the patient's ear and provide a reduction in the focus of inflammation. The most effective treatment for otitis is the use of a moist compress.

Compresses, both wet and dry, are usually put up for the night. The difference between a dry compress is that it can be used around the clock, and there are no time limits. If you need to go out into the street, you should close the sick ear with a piece of dry cotton wool, and put a headscarf or hat on your head. Wet compresses are applied strictly on time. If an adult falls asleep with a compress for the whole night, then nothing terrible will happen. However, if you put a wet compress on your child, be sure to strictly follow the time. For adults, applying a wet compress is two or three hours, and for children - strictly no more than two hours.

Method of preparing a wet compress: take small dishes and heat vodka or diluted alcohol in it. Then, wet the cotton swab, and immediately attach it to the sick ear (it should be warm, but not hot!). Remember that vodka or alcohol very quickly cools. Vatu can be placed behind the ear, or make a cake with a hole in the middle and put it in your ear. In the latter case, the ear canal itself will be opened. On top of cotton wool, you need to put a special paper for compresses, which, however, you can replace the usual tracing paper or a simple piece of cellophane package. Fix the compress with a warm kerchief. If the patient has a temperature, then you can use a regular bandage or a cotton shawl. When using a wet compress, it is better for a patient to be in bed.
