How did it all begin?
Despite the young age, fitness aerobics has a long and interesting history. In the 60s of the last century, the American physiologist Cooper created a set of strengthening exercises, which was called aerobics, which stands for "filling the cells of the body with oxygen." First, to train the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, he suggested using cyclic sports: skiing, running, swimming. Later specialists came to mind brilliant and at the same time simple, like a wheel, the idea - to create a mix of dance and gymnastic movements. They developed a special program, tested it in practice and were pleasantly surprised: in terms of efficiency, rhythmic gymnastics was in no way inferior to running or, for example, swimming. Now it was necessary to tell the world about the "invention", and as a "mouthpiece" was chosen the famous actress Jane Fonda.
Right choice
And then the women saw the charming Jane on TV screens. The actress with such inspiration told about aerobics, so easily and beautifully moved to a rhythmic, winding music, that almost every TV viewer had a desire to try. Everyone was delighted. Now those who wanted to lose weight or just keep themselves in good physical shape did not need to swing their arms and legs, push the press to sweat and squat before the cramps in the calves. Half an hour of aerobic exercise brought joy and pleasure. And it is not surprising that videotapes with classes performed by Jane Fonda quickly dispersed around the world. By the way, later the actress herself began to invent exercises. Her enthusiasm and dedication were contagious. The Foundation even published the book "My Aerobics", in which she frankly told that the desire to lose weight by any means almost killed her.
Small to large
It can be no exaggeration to say that it was in the 80s that the flowering of aerobics began. Everywhere began to open studios, where both adults and children were engaged. People, keen on aerobics, united in original clubs. After training, they did not try to get home as soon as possible, but gathered in a cafe for a cup of tea and told each other what success they had achieved in a month, a week or even a day. It became fashionable and prestigious to practice fitness.
Moreover, they began to produce special clothes for aerobics: bandages on the head, leggings and bright, tight body tights and swimsuits. Now, from training, they wanted to receive not only loads, but also aesthetic pleasure. Thanks to this, aerobics became popular all over the world. Today it includes 200 species, there are classes aimed at developing not only the cardiovascular system, but also flexibility, endurance, strength, coordination.
Sports aerobics was in the 90th year, when the American San Diego held the first unofficial world championship. And there were just two kinds: fitness aerobics and sports aerobics.
Accessibility and mass character
And yet the most massive of them, and therefore all the beloved, can be called fitness aerobics. But why does the usual system of exercises seem so popular? There are several reasons.
- First, in none of the areas of fitness aerobics are used traumatic objects, so almost everything can be engaged - from small to large. But, of course, in order to begin training in fitness aerobics, you need at least elementary physical training.
- Secondly, this sport is more modern. In one of the most attractive areas for young people - dance aerobics, elements of hip-hop and funk movements are used. Learning them in training, the guys then show the real class on the dance floor in the clubs or at the disco.
- Thirdly, fitness aerobics is a team sport, which means it helps to bring people together and unite. By the way, during the competition the judges evaluate not only the technical performance, but also the generality of the team. So, at one of the world championships was a team of "pampushkas" from Germany. When the girls came on stage, they looked very funny. But unexpectedly for many athletes easily reached the finals and performed the program so harmoniously, and moved with such enthusiasm and energy that everyone was just shocked.
- Fourth, fitness aerobics helps to reveal the creative potential: the choice of music, the creation of costumes, hairstyles and make-up - all this should be combined.
Listed by me once again confirms that fitness aerobics is one of the most accessible sports. It can be practiced with any complexion and at any age to compete in competitions. The main thing is to have a desire, a sporting passion and an emotional spirit.
Colorful show
What are the advantages of fitness aerobics? This sport does not require expensive equipment. All you need for training is the hall, and if you're doing step aerobics, step-platform. But this does not mean that the training of athletes are boring and monotonous. Music, excellent mood, rhythmic movements - all this creates a special atmosphere. In whatever mood you do not come to practice, in a few minutes you feel that joy and cheerfulness overwhelm you. Is not that great? The team becomes for athletes something like a second family, in which everyone is a person and all for each other.
In fact, fitness aerobics, regardless of the direction, resemble the rehearsals of theater artists. And this is not surprising, because despite the fact that athletes have to work day after day to perfect and perfect certain elements (and they all must perform synchronously), you can improvise in training. The creative approach is welcomed, because every movement needs not only to be properly executed, but also to invest in it the soul. Apparently, therefore, all who are engaged in this sport, unanimously argue that fitness aerobics - not just a sport, and art. And when a person has the opportunity to reveal his creative abilities, he is transformed.
If you are inspired by this story, if you are interested in this relatively new sport, if you want to not only watch, but also participate in fitness aerobics competitions that resemble a bright show, then do not postpone for tomorrow, start practicing. I'm sure you will not regret it!
