How to decorate glasses for a wedding? After all, these attributes are always in sight - at the solemn registration of marriage in the registry office, during a festive banquet. And after the wedding celebration, often these glasses become a family relic. Therefore, many prefer to order these festive accessories from a professional decorator. And we will try to make them ourselves.
How to decorate your wedding glasses with your own hands - decor ideas
For the beginning we select laces, ribbons, rhinestones, beads, feathers, artificial flowers, beads. In addition, you will have to buy colored paints (stained glass and acrylic), thin wire, glue (silicate or PVA). And, of course, several pairs of glass and crystal glasses.
If you do not yet have practical skills, it is better to practice first on a conventional glass, and only then to start decorating expensive crystal products. So, we present original ideas for decorating wedding glasses:
Lace
Light, elegant lace will give the glasses a truly festive look. In this case, you will need a minimum of material, as well as a glue gun to fix the decor elements. Before attaching the lace, wipe the surface with a cloth moistened with alcohol. If you plan to supplement the composition with beads or rhinestones, it is better to apply silicone glue or glue-moment.
How to decorate wedding glasses? First, wrap the glass with a piece of lace, measuring the desired length (do not forget about the stock in 5-7 mm). We glue the material to the top of the glass, at the same time, so that no visible traces of glue remain. Then, from the piece of lace, make a "skirt" - using a needle to collect a string on the string and fix it on the stem of the glass. In the end, we decorate the foot with a bow of satin ribbon.

Decoupage of wedding glasses: a master class
What is decoupage? This decoration of the product is cut out (or torn out) elements of the image with the help of glue and varnish. To do this, you can use a variety of subjects, creating truly works of art. Today we will learn how to decorate champagne glasses for a wedding in the technique of decoupage.
First we store the necessary materials. We need: white rice paper, napkin with floral print, cotton disc, alcohol, paint to create a simulation of pearls, lacquer, glue, paint tape (width 2 cm), crystal paste, hairspray. Necessary tools: scissors, brush (flat and fan), palette knife (knife or trowel).
As usual, first degrease the surface with alcohol wool and rub it dry.
We take a strip of paint tape and glue the edge of the glass in a circle. This is necessary to avoid hitting the varnish and paints on the areas with which the lips touch when drinking.
At this point, we need rice paper, which wraps the glass around the circle. At the same time, the upper edge of the paper should coincide with the lower edge of the tape, and the lateral sides - overlap by 0.3 - 0.5 cm. The excess part is cut off.
Now you need to glue the paper to the surface - this can easily be done by wetting the glass with a wetted brush. When the glass is completely wrapped, the remains of the swollen paper are removed.
Next, you need to cover the wet paper with a layer of decoupage glue - do it with a flat brush. We expect complete drying of the surface.
The main stage of decoration of wedding glasses is cutting out individual fragments from a napkin, which then should be placed on a film or plastic file. Then, several times, sprinkle the flowers with varnish for hair, with an interval of 1 - 2 minutes for drying. This will ensure a better bonding of the part and surface.
We apply the cut out details to the glass, and from above apply the brush with glue - small strokes in the direction from the center to the edges. We are waiting for drying, we cover the working surface with vitreous varnish and again dry it.
Now we are engaged in a leg of a glass - with the help of a palette knife we put decorative paste consisting of small transparent balls. With special paint we create "fake" pearls on the foot and on the top part of the product. It remains to wait for complete drying and our wine glass is ready. We are going to decorate the second one.
