To get the tulips out of the way, you need to put them on the "shoulders" in moist soil (1/3 of the bulb sits on the street, and 2/3 sits in the soil), then put them in a cool place in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator, at a temperature of plus three degrees up to plus nine degrees. In this state they are 2.5 months old, during this time it is necessary to look after the soil so that it is not very wet and does not dry out. After cooling, they need to be pulled into the tent, the next day in the bright sun, and once a week to start feeding tulips. In a cool place they will grow up to 8 cm. You need to buy tulips from September to November, planting from October to November.

The substratum for planting bulbs is a breathable and moisture-consuming material with a neutral reaction. It can be river clean sand, a mixture of garden land with sand or perlite, vermiculite, pure peat, a mixture of peat and sand. For distilling for the substratum, it is possible to take sawdust that does not retain moisture well and during the period of rooting they need frequent waterings. In addition, for distillation, the substrate must have a neutral pH-7 reaction, so peat and sawdust must be lime. It is undesirable to use a garden land without leavening agents in its pure form, since the land is heavily compacted by watering.

The substrate for forcing has the following composition: 1 part of well-rotted compost or manure, 1 part of river sand, 2 parts of garden land. Add to this mixture wood ash. It is better not to use poorly reparted manure, land from greenhouses, greenhouses - this is a good environment for the development of various pathogens.

Then the prepared substrate is poured into boxes, pots and compacted to 2/3. The bulbs are planted at a distance of 1 cm from each other. Then the top is covered with clean sand or a prepared substrate. A planting homogeneous material is planted in one container to ensure simultaneous flowering. Bulbs after planting are very much watered. It is better to pour them with a solution: 10 liters of water 20 grams of 0.2% calcium nitrate. If the soil has settled and the tops of the bulbs are exposed after irrigation, then it is necessary to fill the substrate. After that, containers with bulbs are carried to the basement or other room with a temperature of up to 10 degrees.

Until mid-December, bulbs are watered every week and maintain a minimum air humidity of 80%. Rooting and germination of tulips lasts up to 22 weeks. At the end of December, the temperature in the room is lowered to plus 2 to minus 4 and this temperature is maintained.

After excavating the bulbs, they are dried for two weeks, then a month at 20 degrees. This storage mode keeps the bulbs in a normal state, they do not get stuck in growth and do not dry out. In the open ground after forcing the bulbs are planted at regular intervals. The development of the tulip lasts 120 days from April to the end of June.
