Necessary materials:

• garbage bags or very thin paper;
• fire retardant;
• wire;
• foil from chocolate;
• Scotch;
• a combustible substance (in tablets or in a liquid state);
• wool or fabric.

Step-by-step instruction for making a heavenly torch

1. Let's start creating our flying beacons of desires from the dome. Ideally, celestial paper lanterns are made from rice paper, but we will take a more affordable option - the most inexpensive garbage bags. It is enough two bags, in one of which we cut off the bottom and with the help of an adhesive tape we connect them in one big package. Can be used for the frame and paper, only it must be very thin and extremely light, with a density of not more than 25 g / m. For greater safety, we recommend also to conduct the dome treatment with flame retardant.
2. The frame of our self-made flying flashlight will consist of a ring, whose diameter should match the diameter of the dome, and the crosspiece on which the burner will be installed. And the ring and the cross are made of wire. To simplify the design, you can do only one cross.
3. Now let's work on the engine of the heavenly lamp, that is, the burner. We will make it in the form of a small cup of foil from chocolate and fix it in the center of the crosspiece of the frame.
4. With the help of an adhesive tape we connect our dome with a skeleton - and the heavenly flashlight "hand-made" is ready for flight! It remains only to determine the fuel, which can be used as a piece of cloth or cotton wool impregnated with a combustible liquid, or? tablets of dry fuel.

• pencil and ruler;
• scissors;

Step-by-step instruction for the manufacture of hanging paper lanterns

1. First, cut out a square of color paper from the selected color. Then this square is bent in half along.
2. On the folded sheet with a pencil, we draw lines of cuts - perpendicular folds of the strip, starting from the fold itself and not reaching the edge of the sheet for a couple of centimeters. With the help of scissors we make these cuts.
3. Now unfold the sheet with the notches and fix its ends or glue, or tape from top to bottom.
4. To the preparation of the flashlight we attach the handle, for which we cut off the narrow paper strip more authentic and glue it on both sides to the New Year's decoration. Do not stop there and we make a few more flashlights.
5. Ready-made hanging paper lanterns can be further decorated with beads, bright ribbons, sequins and sequins.

Such lanterns "will play" in a new way, if you use them a little in a different form. For example, do not attach a handle to them, but put them on a festive table (or on a window), and inside put a burning candle (LED or placed in a glass).
