Greek tsatsika sauce with almonds Tsatsiki, tzatziki, dzadziki (tzatziki) - these are the names of almost one dish, which has variations. The historical homeland of this sauce is considered to be Greece. Tsatsiki cook with the addition of sour cream, yogurt, sour thick milk, that is, a sour milk product is used. In any version of the sauce, there is crushed, finely grated on a fine grater and squeezed from the juice of a fresh cucumber. Excess moisture can give the sauce wateriness and contribute to the fact that the dish will quickly deteriorate. Cucumber juice can be wrung out with a gauze or napkin, you can just do it by hand. The resulting juice does not pour out, freeze the ice cubes from it, which can be used to rub the face. In the above version of the sauce I used chopped almonds, or rather almond flour. She gave the dish an extra density and nutritional value. There are varieties of tzatsi with the addition of grated raw carrots. The sauce is well suited to boiled vegetables, to most dishes cooked on the grill. The sauce can be used as a dip, that is, dipping fresh vegetables into it. Very tasty option, probably the most delicious, in my opinion, just apply the sauce to fresh bread (any, black or white) or to crispy toast.
