Moody's dog breed

The Moody breed is Hungarian, the representatives of this breed are medium-sized sheepdogs. They are very intelligent and obedient dogs from a group of Hungarian dogs. Moody is good for shepherd's business, besides this, dogs catch mice and small animals well. They are very brave and active, bravely guard the entrusted cattle and even will resist the animals, which significantly exceed it in size. Especially good dogs of this breed feel in open territories. Also, they can be used to guard the house, alone they can well guard and large pastures and farms.

History

The appearance of Moody is associated with the end of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries in Hungary. Officially discovered this breed in the nineteenth century. Moody's dog breed was at that time a stable genetic type, but because of the Second World War it practically disappeared, and therefore they rebuilt this breed anew, collecting the remaining genotypes by crumbs. During the period when it was restored, blood of other breeds was added - Border Collie, Pumi, and also other varieties of shepherd dogs in Belgium.

Characteristic

Sheepdogs of this breed have an average size. The chest is deep and descends to the elbows. Back is straight and short. The skull is pointed with a straight muzzle. The head is long and slightly narrow, the transition to the cervical region is quite noticeable. The nose of the nose is also pointed. The eyes are dark brown, oval and very expressive. Ears are V-shaped, standing and sharp. If the dog does not stop the tail, then it is short and often hangs down. Cupping is rarely done, the length of the stump should be about two or three fingers in width. The back from the tail to the withers is even, has no sharp transitions. Paws round and fairly compact, claws on them are dark gray or black. Having arrived-fingers is usually an excuse for culling. The wool smoothly adjoins the body in the chest, on the chest and on the forelegs, while it is dense, wavy and shiny. The rest of the body is short.

The color of this breed is possible in the following variants: brown, black, blue, ashy and white. Regardless of which coat color, nose, lips and eyes are always dark. If the dog has a dark color, then on the back there may be lighted prosei. Likewise, there are black prosecutions if the color of the animal is light.

Psychological picture

Despite the size of the enemy, these dogs will never be afraid to respond to the threat. They have a huge amount of energy and yet they have a keen sense. In adolescence, dogs must be very hard to train. Training will require patience, as these dogs have a fairly independent temper and sensitivity. Adult dogs are ready to protect the owner under any conditions. In a domestic setting, they are playful and with family members are extremely affectionate. It is believed that female individuals are smarter and more faithful than males. Sometimes they can be aggressive, if they feel that the owner is trying to offend, they will necessarily rush to defense, even if the opponent exceeds it in size and strength.

Care and training

Due to their historical function, these dogs are endowed with a good ability to orientate on the terrain. They can easily tolerate heat and cold, can work in the water and perform security functions remarkably.

This breed does not require special care. It is only necessary to monitor the skin and hair. Wool must be washed and combed with a frequency of once a week. Particular attention should be paid to the ears and tail, where there is a long coat. Ears should be cleaned carefully with cotton swabs. Sometimes there is a need to wash the eyes. This can be done with running water, after which the eyelids are wiped with a special liquid.

To health remained good, the dog should be regularly and for long walks. Although Moody and love to lie on the couch, but in a stuffy cramped apartment - it's still not what they love, they like to run in the open vast space.

Training

When training, do not order the dog to perform commands that are not intended for this breed, or to which it is not adapted. They are by nature, and also physically unable to do so. Shepherds have the most pronounced propensity to protect, protect territories, graze livestock. There are hunting instincts, but they do this with a man.
