Osteochondrosis of the neck, prevention, treatment with folk remedies and methods

What can disrupt our plans? An unpleasant disease, a pain that torments us for a long time and persistently. Today we will talk about osteochondrosis. So, the theme of our today's article is "Osteochondrosis of the neck, prevention, treatment with folk remedies and methods."

The change that occurs as a result of malnutrition of bones and cartilage of the spine is called osteochondrosis. Year after year, osteochondrosis stably ranks second after the flu, this disease deserved the name "disease of the century". And, in general, sick people of working age. In general, changes associated with osteochondrosis are more common in people aged 30 to 50 years. Less common in people who in 50 years. The causes of osteochondrosis are physical trauma, hypothermia of the neck and shoulder girdle. Prolonged muscle tension in the cervical spine, in other words: fixed postures, and vice versa motor activity, if the movements are ill-conceived, unorganized, all this also creates conditions for the appearance and progression of osteochondrosis.

The most common cause of osteochondrosis is a sedentary lifestyle, as well as an improper diet. Osteochondrosis of the cervical spine is a pathological process in which the nutrition of vertebral disks is disrupted, which leads to their gradual damage. With further progression of the disease, the intervertebral discs lose their shape and cease to perform their basic functions. The ability of the spine to resist physical stresses is lost. The inner part of the disc (pulp) gradually hardens and splits into islands that are able to break through the ring of ligaments surrounding the pulp, and squeeze the roots of vertebral nerves, resulting in the formation of an intervertebral hernia - one of the late stages of osteochondrosis.

Osteochondrosis of the cervical region can provoke headaches, pain in the neck and passing into the arm. There may be a feeling of "crawling creeps" in the hands and in the neck. Osteochondrosis can often cause night awakenings due to the appearance of pain and numbness in the area of the upper limb, as in a dream we arrive for a long time in a motionless posture. Another manifestation of cervical osteochondrosis is a violation of brain nutrition and the appearance of the corresponding symptoms: sudden weakness, loss of consciousness, noise in the head, impaired coordination. Accordingly, in the presence of this pathology, it is necessary to be especially careful: to avoid sharp and strong turns of the head, to stay in one position for a long time, to lift and move heavy objects. It is necessary to learn how to move properly, especially to lie down and rise from the bed. When going to sleep, sit on the edge of the bed, if the spine allows, keep your head and back straight. Do not immediately go to bed, it is better to stay in the given position for a few seconds, then lie down on your side very slowly and slowly and lie down for a while. Then take a comfortable position, listen to your body and try not to do anything that your spine does not like. When lying on your back, try not to tear the back of your head from the pillow. If necessary, for example, turn on its side, it is better to "carefully roll" from the back of the head to the temple.

When treating osteochondrosis of the cervical region, folk medicine is often used. One of the recipes: pour the leaves of horseradish with boiling water, then pull out and lightly cool. Leaves are applied on the back surface of the neck, on top of the film and well insulated. Hold for about an hour. This compress relieves pain and dilates the blood vessels of the brain.

You can use this recipe: mix the wholemeal with water, make a cake. Fry the cake in a skillet without oil. Cool, apply to the back of the neck and hold until it cools.
Osteochondrosis also uses infusions and decoctions of tansy flowers, lilac flowers, radishes, oats, white cherry, St. John's wort, juniper, barberry, sage. You can make infusion or decoction from the collection of these herbs. They are used as diuretics, analgesics, improving metabolism.
But it is much more important to prevent the disease than to treat it. For prevention of osteochondrosis, the following exercises should be performed:

1. The spine is straight. The shoulders are motionless during the exercise. Head tilt to the right (do not turn!) And effortlessly try to touch the shoulder with your ear. Return to the starting position and make a slope to the left shoulder. Exercise may not work out right away. But with time you will make it free.

2. The body is straight. The ear stretches to the right shoulder, the chin points down, then the head smoothly rolls to the left shoulder and back. Avoid circular rotation of the head. Make two exercises in one direction and two in the other. Overvoltages in these exercises are unacceptable.
To avoid osteochondrosis, you must follow the following rules: do more exercise therapy, watch your posture. Eliminate physical overload at work, at home. And the main thing: immediately get rid of the first unpleasant sensations in the region of the cervical spine.
