Chicken meat is present in our menu almost every day, while the duck and goose are cooked most often on public holidays. The most famous dish is a baked duck with apples, which was originally prepared by the Slavs in a preheated oven, mainly for Christmas. How to cook a duck with apples?

If you judge only by name, then a duck with apples is a simple plain dish, which is done once or twice. No, in fact, there is a special baking technology, without adhering to which, you can easily spoil the meat. Incorrectly selected temperature, weak marinovka and other points that can affect the taste for the worse. Therefore, let's not without initiative, but let's start with what we need ingredients.

Preparation:

  1. First of all, we start preparing the bird. For this, carefully wash it under water, remove the remaining feathers. It is very important to cut off the duck goose (tail), since it gives the dish a specific unpleasant taste.
  2. Prepared carcass must be marinated in wine. Before pouring it with wine marinade, thoroughly rub it with salt and pepper.
  3. While the duck is pickled, let's do the apples. As already mentioned for this recipe, green apple varieties that have a slight sourish taste are best suited. In our case, it is not necessary to cut them. All that is required is to cut their core with bones. If desired, apples can also be marinated in wine, this will give a special piquant taste.
  4. While the main ingredients are marinated, we need to grease the heatproof dish with a small piece of butter. It is not necessary to smear a lot, since during the cooking the duck will allocate its fatty juice.
  5. We put the whole duck and apples in a bowl and place it in a preheated oven to 250 degrees.
  6. Bake this dish for a little more than an hour (about 70 minutes). In the end, we squeeze garlic on the cooked duck and spread it evenly. All laid out on a beautiful plate and served on the table.
