Harry first voiced the decision to leave military service in February. The thirty-year-old monarch confesses that the decision to quit the military service was rather difficult for him:
After a decade of service, the decision to complete my military career was not easy for me. I regard as luck the opportunities that I had: to take part in vivid operations and get acquainted with amazing people.
Despite the decision to leave the service, the heir to the British throne said that he would continue to work as a charitable work in the framework of helping the servicemen. Already at the end of September, he plans to start working as a volunteer at the London-based Personnel Recovery Unit, which was wounded while serving in the army.
Harry will go to Africa to save rhinos and elephants
In the coming days, Henry of Wales (this is the official name of Charles's youngest son) will go with an environmental volunteer mission to Africa. And the prince is so serious about the upcoming trip that he did not transfer it even for the sake of the christening of his little niece Charlotte, who are scheduled for July 5.
Within three months, the prince will visit South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania. The main purpose of the trip is connected with environmental education. The program of stay in African countries provides for close cooperation with professional experts in the field of wildlife: Harry plans to study the problems of poaching attacks on elephants and rhinos by taking part in the work of rangers saving wildlife from illegal bone traders.
