Svetlana V .: Because as a public person I get to my age all the time. Journalists add me at least a dozen years and ask caustic questions. Recently called from the channel "Inter" to invite me to a talk show on liposuction. What do I have to do with this? I did not do this. A journalist: "I know that you did liposuction, tell me, do not be shy." From such conversations, my mood immediately deteriorates.
Recently , being in America, I went to a nightclub. I like to dance, I love fun, a beautiful audience. When it's hard, I go to the club and dance to self-oblivion - so I get rid of stress. But here, in Kiev, I can not just dance, tear myself away. Here I am always a public person and appear at parties in this capacity. And in America, no one knows me, I'm just an ordinary person there. In the club, men started courting me, mostly black, because I was in a red jacket, with red fur, and they felt a kindred spirit in me. But the white boys also paid attention to me. Svetlana V.: Of course. I'm prettier than Sobchak, but she's sharper than I'm on tongue. And anyway, I'm constantly surrounded by young people - even since working in fashion business and advertising projects.

Svetlana V .: Commentators in the same "tabloid" once wrote that my mother lives in Kiev, in Mikhailovsky Lane, and begs, because, they say, I refuse to support her - all the money I spend on parties. While they wrote that I was a lazy person or that it was time for me to retire, I was patient. But to invent this about my mother! She died when I turned 16. We lived then in my native St. Petersburg.

SV: I perfectly remember it. She was tall, handsome, beautiful, with beautiful brown eyes.

SV: Maybe. Sometimes I think: well, where in me is so much extravagance? I'm afraid to appear in public in a transparent skirt of oilcloth. Part of this is a habit since the model's work, but the main reason is probably an inferiority complex, a desire to attract attention. As a child, I did not have enough mother's love, and I naively hoped that if I became a public person, I would be loved. Only one did not take into account: becoming a "man from the TV", you cause not only love, but also envy, anger from absolutely unknown people. It hurts me deeply. Age is just one of the themes.
For some reason they call me a secular lioness, a glamorous loafer. No one is interested in that I work, I have many projects. The positive is not in demand, negative characters are needed, the bitch and the hooligan are, for what to scold and thus self-affirm.

SV: Probably because I always helped my appearance. I received an invitation to the States and my first money, because my employer saw me in the photo, and I liked him. I believe in beauty as a talent and I'm afraid of losing it. And to this day my face remains a commodity: recently one cosmetic company offered a contract.
And one more thing ... I do not like old people. This is probably a complex. I'm afraid of old age, and I struggle with the manifestations of age by all means available to modern cosmetology. I decided in 35 years - everything, I do not get any farther. AA: So people with wrinkles are not nice to you?
SV: Beautiful old people are few. My grandmother was beautiful.
How old was your mother when she died?
SV: 36. Probably, that's why I set myself such a line.

Svetlana Volnova: Yes, it's true. But I'm not afraid of old age on my own. Old age for me means a loss of attractiveness, sexuality and success.

SV: I like my age, now I'm much more interesting than I was in 25. All my life I have denied stereotypes. They say you can not become a model in 27 years - and I became. They say you can not start a career on television at 36, but I started. When I live like everyone, according to the rules, it turns out badly. For 13 years I lived with my husband on the Kharkov Massif, as if in a dream. I was sure that it was not my life, that someone would come and save me. And then there was work in America.

Svetlana V: What are you talking about? I was the most popular girl on the Kharkov massif! When I went out on the avenue in white boots with gold ornaments and a flirty fox fur coat, the cars stopped! I was still working as a model, but I was already doing advertising projects for magazines and private companies. Not so much for earnings, so much to take place as a person. But my relationship with my husband got worse every year, we quarreled a lot, I suffered. When I came to photograph with a black eye, my two friends decided that I should be saved. They wrote to the marriage agency on my behalf, they sent photos. I liked an American businessman so much that he bought all my pictures. So that they will not be shown to anyone else. I wrote a letter - it came to the address of my friend, Tatyana. She began to respond. They started a correspondence. And one day Tatyana upset me: a fan comes to you!
