Types and methods of applying cleansers for face skin

Cleansing the skin of the face is a mandatory daily procedure, even if the makeup is not used. Harmful substances from the environment, secretion of sweat and sebaceous glands lead to contamination and expose the skin to premature aging and diseases.

What are the types and methods of using cleansers for facial skin?

There are different types of cleansers, which are selected individually, given the type and characteristics of the skin.

Soap.

Soap of solid varieties is obtained as a result of the chemical reaction of the components. It is made from animal fats, alkali and vegetable oils. To produce soap, dyes and aromatic compositions are also used.

Although soap and is a common remedy on the list of cleansers for facial skin, use it with caution. Only absolutely normal skin, which is most often found only in adolescents before puberty, is able to respond smoothly to the application of soap. All other types of skin should avoid this type and method of purification. This is due to the fact that the alkaline reaction of soap acts on the water-fat skin of the skin like a solvent, and the restoration of this cover takes several tens of minutes.

Soap is not suitable for sensitive skin, and its use can lead to quite unpleasant consequences. The exception is the therapeutic varieties of soap, which is prescribed by a cosmetologist or dermatologist.

Cosmetic milk.

Cosmetic milk is on the list of products for skin of any type. It is a gentle cleanser that removes from the skin not only dirt and greasy discharge, but, of course, it is used to remove makeup. Has an acid reaction.

Cosmetic milk should be selected according to the type of skin.

The composition of milk for dry skin is dominated by more fatty components in order to gently and delicately make cleaning and do not deprive the skin of the moisture, which it already needs.

There is a cosmetic lotion for oily skin. Its task is to cleanse the skin and eliminate excess fat. As a rule, milk for this type of skin contains light components without fat.

After applying cosmetic milk, it is desirable to use tonics with refreshing properties. Tonics should be soft and sparing, non-alcoholic, or low-alcohol.

It is desirable to use a tonic of the same manufacturer as cosmetic milk.

Hydrophilic oil.

This facial cleanser has a slightly acidic reaction, is a gentle enough and effective means for cleansing. The composition of hydrophilic oil often includes extracts of various herbs that purify and help the skin normally perform its functional tasks. Hydrophilic oil can be used for any type of skin, or used for specific tasks.

The oil is applied in small amounts to the dry surface of the skin. Then, dipped in water with your fingers, distributed on the skin in circular movements until the formation of emulsion foam.

After plenty of washing with water, the skin will be well cleaned, while not degreasing and not overdried. Based on these properties, hydrophilic oil is the most acceptable option to cleanse dry skin, as the most sparing means.

Hydrophilic oil is suitable even when there are difficulties with the selection of a cleanser. However, for oily skin, hydrophilic oil is very rarely produced. For this type of skin it is preferable to use cleansing soap without fatty substances in the composition, or gels for washing.

Emulsions.

Emulsions are a fairly common method of cleansing the face. Emulsions are a quick but less deep cleanser.

There are several types of emulsions:

Oil in water (m / in) - this kind is, in fact, an aqueous solution.

Combined emulsions - water in oil and water (w / m / in).

Water in oil (w / m) is a fat solution.

The emulsion consists of several layers of liquids that are one above the other, and do not mix with each other.

Emulsions are used as follows: rubbed into the skin, and then thoroughly washed with water.

Creams:

This method of purification is used quite rarely, but it is very suitable for dry, dehydrated and very sensitive skin. Creams contain the maximum amount of fatty components, they do not spread over the skin and do not break the protective layer. Creams are the most gentle way to cleanse.

Deep skin cleansing (Peeling).

Peeling (or exfoliation) at a young age should be done as rarely as possible. For girls with oily skin, it should be done once a month, and with normal skin - no more than once in 3 months.

At home, also, you can perform a deep cleansing of oily skin with acne with the help of the following recipe:

Oat flakes should be ground in a coffee grinder. To one glass of the received powder add 1 teaspoon of soda and 1 teaspoon of boric acid. This mixture is stored in the refrigerator for no more than 2 weeks.

When using, take 1 tablespoon of the mixture and pour warm milk to the consistency of gruel. Apply a thick layer on the face and massage with your fingertips clockwise until the mass begins to slide. After that, rinse with warm water.

This procedure can be performed 2-3 times a week.

Although skin cleansing is a fairly easy procedure of the day, it must be remembered that the skin is a complex organ that performs a number of functions and tasks. It is associated with metabolism. All chemical reactions that begin or end in other organs or systems occur in the skin. An important function of the skin is to retain moisture, and like any other organ, the skin is susceptible to aging, which can be slowed down or suspended with the help of the right and appropriate skin type, individual day regimen, individual balanced diet, physical activity, and overall health , both physical and mental (to minimize stressful situations).
