Recently, you can find a lot of information on how to dye your hair with wax, oil, pastel crayons and even gouache. But experts strongly recommend not to use an art arsenal as a hair dye. First, they are badly washed away. Secondly, the composition of artistic paints can cause allergies, even if applied to the hair for a short while. And thirdly, their specific texture complicates the application itself and can therefore cause uneven staining.

How to paint chalk hair at home

Note that the final result of staining will depend entirely on how you will use colored chalks, combining different shades or adhering to a monochrome scale. Therefore, before you start using chalks, carefully consider your future image and color palette.

The main stages of staining with crayons:

  1. Prewash and dry hair.

  2. Prepare the spray with water. Water is needed to moisten the strand before painting.

    Attention! Work only in gloves, otherwise you risk dyeing with your hair and fingers. And do not forget to cover your shoulders with a protective cape, so that the pigment does not get on the clothes.
  3. Take the wet strand by the tips and make the maximum stretch. Walk small on the strand, carefully staining it on both sides.

  4. Well, comb the strand with a rare comb.

  5. Dry the stained hair with ironing.

  6. In the same scheme, work through the remaining strands and enjoy the result.
