- unsalted butter - 1 part
- sugar - 2 cups
- water - 3/4 Glass
- corn syrup - 1/2 cup
- red food coloring (optional) - 1/2 teaspoons
- medium apples or 12 small apples - 6 pieces
In a saucepan with a thick bottom of a saucepan, combine the sugar, 3/4 cups of water, corn syrup and food color (if used). Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and continue cooking for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, insert a wooden stick into the top of each apple. Insert the thermometer into the cooking glaze. When the temperature reaches 150-155 degrees, immediately remove the mixture from the fire. Quickly dip the apples into the mixture until completely covered. Place on a sheet of paper and allow to cool.
