You can cut out the applications yourself (single or patchwork) according to pre-prepared templates or purchase a ready-made applique in the store. You can strengthen applications in many ways:
- Ready-made applications are glued when ironing on them with a hot iron.
- You can also stick the appliqués with your own hands. For this, first, polyethylene (for example, a piece from a package the size of a part) is placed on the fabric from which the pieces will be cut, a newspaper is placed under the bottom. Then all this is smoothed out, but in such a way that only the parts are glued to the polyethylene, and the newspaper remains untouched. Then the details are cut out, placed on the main fabric and, ironing well, including the edges, firmly glue them.
- You can sew a sewing machine using the smallest zigzag.
- Sewing by hand. To do this, cut out the fabric parts, leaving on the allowances of 1-2 mm. Clamp tissue with needles and begin to stitch. The allowances that we left, with the help of a needle, bend inwardly along the contour, between the tissues, and the resulting "border" is sewn with small stitches of the suture seam.
