The Swedish company myFC announced the release of JAQ - a handheld device with a fuel cell for recharging electronic gadgets. The novelty is compact enough: its dimensions are comparable to a standard smartphone, and the weight is only 180 grams.
The principle of operation of JAQ is not difficult - just insert a special PowerCard cartridge into it and connect it to the charging device via USB-connector. During activation, the water-salt solution of the cartridge reacts chemically, releasing hydrogen, which participates in the make-up cycle. One PowerCassette cassette is enough to fully charge the mobile device. After the work is completed, the cartridge should be removed and disposed of. PowerCard meet all the environmental requirements - they are safe, made from recycled materials and do not harm the environment.
Attractive design is another plus of the JAQ gadget. The body of the cartridge is made of bright glossy plastic, and the charging itself resembles a matte mesh cover, easily placed in a pocket or bag.
