Bessonova Anna, I dance for you

The victory of Anna and her partner Alexander Leshchenko gave little acrobat David Antonian the opportunity to visit the famous circus "Du Soleil". Anna Bessonova, the absolute world champion in rhythmic gymnastics, replenished her collection of victories with another one - she received "gold" in the project "I'm Dancing for You 3" on channel 1 + 1.
Tell us about your feelings of victory.
Sasha and I were very happy that we managed to fulfill the child's dream. David is a very talented and hard-working boy. He deserves better! Do not want to seriously engage in dancing? I really enjoyed dancing! It is close to me in spirit. I have not decided yet whether I will continue to dance. But one thing I can say for sure: the dances helped me open up and feel my body differently.

Which dance do you like best?
The most emotional is the dance with the bridge in the final. It turned out that the bridge was rendered faulty on the parquet floor. And for some reason we could not fix it. We had a few seconds left before the start ... We were a little scared. While we were dancing on the broken bridge, the fear turned into emotions, which saw the whole country. After the dance, we even wept a little ...

Do you keep in touch with new friends on the parquet floor?
Of course. We became so close that we became almost one family! (Laughs.)
And many sacrificed for the sake of this victory?
In order to win, you need to work and sacrifice much! But these victims are justified, having won, we realized the dream of the child. Is it so important! Trained, performed and danced with the thought of David.

What do you plan to do after the project?
I will rest a bit and think about my plans for the future. Of course, after the victory in the project I receive creative proposals, but I do not hurry to talk about it yet.

Anna, confess, did your dreams come true?
Ever since childhood, I dreamed of winning more medals than mummies and dads together. Mom is the world champion in group exercises in rhythmic gymnastics, and father is a football player, he played in the Dynamo (Kyiv) and in the USSR team. My dreams have come true. I became a world champion, having received the love of the public in many countries. But I always have something to strive for, there is always something to dream about! I'm a dreamer by nature.

Before the World Cup you said that you are planning to retire. Why?
The question of whether to train further, each time leads me to reflections, and every time I find it difficult to answer. You know, I've had a tough year. Heavy competitions. I need a break, I need rest. I need to reconsider my plans for the future. To understand what I want, to be in harmony with myself and with people close to me. Few people know that I have had enough injuries. One of them occurred before the European Championships. From overloads, I got a nerve between the toes of my right foot. The pain did not subside, I had to do the operation. And now it makes itself felt.

Do you see yourself outside of the sport or do you train?
I help train young gymnasts. But I have not decided yet, I will be a coach or not. Certainly, somehow I want to connect my life with this direction, after all I gave my gymnastics all my conscious life.

What do your rewards mean to you?
Every reward for me is different in its own way. But the best reward is audience sympathy, and then there are medals, which I regard as a small encouragement for having spent a lot of energy, time and energy to work.

I heard that you have a new hobby. Is it somehow connected with sports?
No, this is not a sport. And not even a hobby. Rather, it is a necessity. I fell in love with reading literature on psychology. Especially sports psychology, thanks to which the athlete can learn to control himself. When there are difficulties along the way, when there is no one around, you need to be able to resist it. Believe me: in sports people go through a good school of life, and if you are weak, you do not have to go to sport - you will be crushed! So books and people who were strong in spirit helped me. Of course, these are my parents and coaches Albina and Irina Deriuginy, without which I would not become Anna Bessonova!

What did the sport teach you?
Sport has taught me a lot: to survive, endure, achieve the goal and properly look at life! I believe that in life the most important thing is to learn, and to give maximum strength to school. Now, for example, I'm dancing. Later I plan to learn languages. I want to learn a lot, and how can I do it in the near future?
What is the ideal of a man for you?
For me, the ideal of a man is my brother and father. They are for me an example for imitation in everything. The brother teaches children the big tennis, in parallel is engaged in business.
The brother gives you advice on the guys?
He's trying. At one time he was even somewhat intrusive in this regard. Now he understands that I'm an adult, an independent person. And whatever he says, the final decision will still be mine!

In your plans, probably, there is a marriage?
Marriage in the near future there. But a full-fledged family, of course, I want. I believe that you first need to decide in life. Understand what to devote. See how much you are standing firm on your feet. And then think about the family.
Have you ever had any wooing in your life, from which you just lost your head?
No, they did not. But I'm really looking forward to it! You see, I do not like banal courtship: flowers, sweets, a restaurant. I'm not interested in this! To me, on the contrary, I do not even like it a bit! Of course, suited successful and wealthy men with compliments, express their delight. I learned to react absolutely calmly!

Anna Bessonova had a real love?
No. But I repeat, I'm ready for this, and I'm looking forward to it! I am already ripe for a serious relationship!
After the Olympic Games Anna Bessonova was going to finish her career in gymnastics. The break was about two months (more it was not enough). During this time, Anna was very bored with training, so she decided to return to the sport. She quickly merged into the previous active mode: "I realized that it was completely different, that something was changing inside me. I probably grew up. " After that, Bessonova completely changed the program, the image, the costumes. In her sports numbers, in addition to sharpened technique, notes of artistry intensified.
