In the biography of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan it appears that his childhood passed in the Russian-speaking environment. The fact is that Dzhigarkhanyan's grandmother lived for a very long time in the Kuban. Therefore, the mother of the future actor was also fluent in the language. For Dzhigarkhanyan, there was no problem in speaking both in Russian and in his native language. At that time practically all the intelligentsia in Armenia had excellent command of both languages, which indicated the high culture of this people.
Biography of Armen, as an actor, in his own way was predestined from childhood. The fact is that he always wanted to play in the theater and cinema. And all thanks to his mother, who taught little Armen to love the theater. Elena's mother always went to all the performances in drama and opera theaters and took her son with her. Looking at how actors on the stage implement various stories that seem to be reality, Armen firmly decided that, when he grows up, he will become the same as they are.
However, Armen's biography did not develop as brilliantly as he wanted. Young Dzhigarkhanyan graduated from school in 1953 and immediately went to conquer Moscow. He submitted documents to GITIS, but there he was awaited by the deepest disappointment. The Admissions Committee did not like the guy's accent and they did not even want to listen to him. Armen returned home frustrated and offended, but did not intend to surrender. The following year he again decided to act, and before that he worked at the film studio "Armenfilm".
In 1954, Armen entered the theater and art institute in Yerevan on the course of Armen Karapetovich Gulakyan. This teacher instilled a future actor attitude to the game, as to craftsmanship, to a craft that you need to learn and that you need to love. He always worked on Stanislavsky's system, explaining that the characters should not be played. They need to live. You need to be able to feel the person you are playing, to penetrate the life history of your character, his experiences, joys and sorrows. Thanks to his teacher, Armen perfectly mastered all these lessons.
Already on the first course Armen came on the stage of the Yerevan Russian Drama Theater. At that time, Armenians just liked to play. He did not go over roles, performed both dramatic and comedic. Dzhigarkhanyan could perfectly convey the character and mood of any character. He liked to be on stage, to find new solutions, to speak to the audience. During the first ten years of work in the theater Armen played about thirty most diverse roles, which is a great achievement for the young actor. And played them all with brilliance.
Of course, at that time the cinema developed and, like many other actors, Armen constantly tried himself in the cinema. About five years he played roles in extras or episodic, but, in the end, in 1960, Armen was able to get a role in the film "Collapse". After that, he starred in two more films and Dzhigarkhanyan slowly began to notice the audience. And in 1966 Armen performed the role of a scientist in a sad and beautiful film story "Hello, it's me! ". It was this film that became a breakthrough in the career of Armen as a film actor. He was so beautiful able to play the emotions of his character, to show not only his intellect, but also experiences that the audience immediately remembered his face and name, began to recognize in the streets. Since that time, a collective image of the heroes of this actor began to be created. Of course, they were diverse, but, nevertheless, they were united by purposefulness, strength, concentration and some taciturnity.
In 1967, Armen moved to Moscow to play with Efros. But in half a year the director was removed from the management of the theater. True, Jigarkhanyan played for a while in the productions, but he spent most of his energy on films. In those years, just released films about elusive avengers, which enjoyed frenzied popularity with the audience. After them, Jigarkhanyan was already recognized by everyone. Then the movie "Hello, I'm Your Theta" was released. The character of Dzhigarkhanyan - Kriegs, amazed and caught almost all spectators. They fell in love with Armen even more and with even greater pleasure began to go to his performances. Dzhigarkhanyan continued to play in some performances, which were sold out. However, he more and more went to the cinema.
Armen played in a huge number of films and continues to play now. As he himself said, he does not want to rust. It's better to play at work than to sit at home and live the gray routine. Therefore, Armen always tries to be in good shape, to appear in interesting films, to play in the theater. He created his own youth theater at VGIK to give talented youth an opportunity to show themselves and be closer to art.
If we talk about his personal life, then from the age of thirty he lives with one woman and is very happy. They met before Armen was supposed to go to Moscow. At that time in Armenia, Jigarkhanyan was a real star. But in Russia they did not know about him yet. Tatiana, when she came from Russia, had no idea who this young man was. But, in the end, I fell in love with him. But Armen did not seem to notice anything. One day the girl said that she was bored and then Armen advised her to fall in love. After that, Tatiana confessed her feelings. At that time, Armen had to leave Moscow to Moscow from day to day. But he himself was not indifferent to Tatiana. Therefore, they quickly signed and went to Moscow already as husband and wife. And they are up to the present day.
