Invite the child to draw "about us all", about the family. Just do not interfere in the creative process. Let him do everything spontaneously, by inspiration. Suggest a choice of a variety of colors and different types of pencils, paints, markers. Listen to what your "artist" says while you work. If he actively comments on his actions, shares his ideas, it means that he is psychologically well-off. If he needs your approval for each action, the child is not sure of himself. Pay attention to it, encourage and support it.
If the kid categorically does not want to draw, crying - try to figure out whether there are specific prerequisites for this: the child may be, for example, tired, and perhaps it is an attempt to "escape" from difficulties.

This kid needs more time to spend with his peers. If the child does not paint himself, he feels lonely. What toys do children need?
