Gel nail polish

Gel nail polish combines the best of the usual nail polish and gel. The coating with gel varnish is durable and very durable, since the gel contains a certain dispersion medium, which forms a structural mesh on the nail. The solution of the nail coating with gel varnish is the right one for the amateurs to experiment with different colors and patterns, as well as for those who just want to get a long-term result and do not remember a few weeks about the need to bring the nails in order.

Gel varnish is applied as quickly as the usual nail polish and lasts up to three weeks. Comparing it with other ways of strengthening the nails, the gel has certain advantages: it practically does not need to be filed, it does not smell, its application does not take much time, the coating does not exfoliate. Also this varnish is multifunctional, can be used for the French manicure and some other kinds of ornaments, for example, for modeling. One "but" - gel varnishes do not freeze on their own, you will need a special catalyst. Also it should be remembered that such nail varnishes are fragile enough in the event of temperature changes, so in the cold season hands should be protected, otherwise, if the coating is cracked, it will have to be removed and re-done.

By structure, gel nail varnishes resemble bio-gel. They are soft, flexible and removed with the help of special fluids, which usually include oils and nutrients that nourish and soften the cuticle and nails. The composition of the gel varnishes also includes various nutritional components for strengthening the nails.

Gel varnishes are produced in two forms: light-curing (light-sensitive) and non-curable.

The first have all of the above advantages, are easily processed, sufficiently tightly and quickly attached to the natural nail plate. Their main feature is a coating in several layers, each layer should dry for a short time under an ultraviolet lamp, under the influence of which the nail plate and gel coalesce into a single whole. Such varnishes must be kept under UV light of a certain intensity, which is indicated on the lacquer package, otherwise the desired result will not be achieved.

The second variant of gel varnishes is light-curing, for the strengthening of which activating substances or a certain soaking in water are necessary. Such varnishes are similar to glue, for their application use an ordinary brush, as in any customary nail polish, or the tube of varnish, with which the gel is very thinly distributed throughout the nail. In the end, the light-curable gel varnishes are coated with a drop of catalyst or a special spray or plain water.
