The story of a young man.

The company takes its beginning from the 70s of the 20th century. The founder of the brand was fashion designer Gianni Versace, now the seat of the head is occupied by his sister Donatella Versace. The history of the brand, first of all, began on December 2, 1946, when the son of a professional dressmaker Francesca Versace, whom she named Gianni, was born. Together with his mother, the boy spent most of the time in the sewing workshop, where his mother worked. Perhaps this moment in the life of the future fashion designer and served as the main impetus for a further career in fashion. At the age of eighteen, Gianni goes to work in the same workshop. It was there that he was developing his first trendy fashion line at the time, in which he was very successful in combining all the trends of fashion features of that time and seeing good taste and style. At that time, the young man was able to invest in his favorite business all his talent. By the way, a huge role in studying the main trends of fashion of those times, played Gianni's working visits to England, France and Belgium. For six years of work with his mother in the studio, the guy is very attached to this matter. Plus, the mother's trembling attitude toward her favorite work made Gianni fall in love with this craft.

In the family, Gianni had two more children, his sister Donatella and brother Sancho. That's why the mother did not allocate any of the children, giving all of them the same attention. That's why, the future fashion designer set a goal to deserve special attention from the mother.

Thanks to working with his mother, he learned to very professionally drape the fabric. Only his mother could do it so successfully. That's why Gianni himself will later say that only in spite of his mother he has learned not only to see, but also to feel the fabric itself.

The story got its development one day, when Versace himself could not suspect it. In the studio where he worked, he was telephoned by a wealthy Italian businessman who accidentally found out about a talented young man and decided to offer him cooperation. Thanks to this businessman and talent, Johnny Versace recognized the whole world.

When the boy turns twenty-seven, he already worked closely with famous fashion houses, one of which became the fashion house James Callaghan. It was this cooperation that became the foundation for the development of Milan's career, Gianni. Solo career of a talented fashion designer did not make long to wait and in 1978 he opens his personal company, which is called the fashion house Gianni Versace. Under the same name, he creates a new collection of clothes. Together with Johnny, in his new company his sister and brother begin to work. In the same year he opens his first clothing boutique "Gianni Versace", where he presents his collection of women's and men's clothing brand Versace. This very moment became the main point of the beginning of the history of the brand.

The first collection of women's fashion designer clothes expressed all the sexuality and frankness of the female image. It included unusual short skirts, noticeable neckline and bare backs.
