In school years, the creator of "Yeralash" Boris Grachevsky was the leader among his peers, and at the end of the school he entered a technical school where he studied the skill of turning. In 1968, young Boris served in the army, at the end of the service in which he returned to his father with a request to arrange it on television. So fate threw Grachevsky at the film studio. From the loader to the leaders of "Yeralash"
Natural determination, perseverance and desire to reach heights helped Boris Grachevsky get to work in the requisitioning shops, where he was offered a job as a handyman on filming "Crime and Punishment". It was there that a young and ambitious guy could see the whole process of making a film "from within".
Later Grachevsky got to the site where the film "Varvara-Krasa, a Long Spit" was shot under the direction of director Alexander Row, who later will note the efforts of the young assistant and offer him an episodic role. Since that moment he began to live at the film studio, practically without leaving its walls. About two years, the future director of "Yeralash" Boris Grachevsky worked as an assistant, so he mastered several film professions.
The received knowledge helped Boris to enter VGIK, where he received a diploma in the direction "Organization of film production". And already in 1974 together with Alexander Khmelik they created the project of the legendary newsreel "Yeralash". From the very first issues, the work won the hearts of the audience and is still a landmark in the history of motion picture art.
Subsequently, the activities of Boris Grachevsky actively developed, and he became the director of such iconic works as the film "The Roof" and the TV program "While all the houses."
Personal life of a filmmaker
With his future wife Galina, the director of the magazine "Yeralash" met while working at the film studio. By the way, the first wife of Boris Grachevsky for a long time did not pay attention to him, but the boy achieved his and in 1970 the couple got married. In the marriage there was a son Maxim, and a little later, and daughter Xenia.
