The first way

The second way

To start knitting a double rubber band, you need to sew 40 loops on the knitting needles:

• 2nd row: the facial loops are required to be knit just like the facial ones, the purl is removed, the thread is in front of the canvas.

For the remaining rows, knitting is performed similarly, until the required height of the product is obtained. The last row is bound only by facial loops, otherwise the edge will turn out to be unattractive and it will give the impression that the elastic band is stretched. In the process of work, do not forget about the edge loops. The first one needs to be removed, but the latter is always tied with the wrong one. To close the hinges, you can use any convenient method. Which one to choose, each handicraftsman decides on his own. You can do it by crocheting or using spokes - it does not matter.

In the hollow elastic band, both sides of the canvas are almost indistinguishable. If you divide the loops by removing them on two different spokes, you can see the layers of ordinary hosiery that are joined by the edges and the first row. At the end of the double gum, in order to continue to knit the product in the usual way, you will have to make 2 loops in the last row with the front ones.
