This is a scarf-shuttlecock, which is remarkable in that:

• elegance and decorativeness is combined in it with functionality - if we decided to tie a scarf to protect the neck from the cold, the shuttlecock will not let the wind or frost get to the skin;
• it can be just a chic accessory, it depends on what material you choose;
• its very easy and nice to wear. Do not think how to drape it, than fix it - just throw it around your neck, you can wrap it around - and a smart addition to any clothes is ready.
  

So, let's start the creative process. What do we need?

• hook number 3;
• yarn, 250-300 grams. Yarn is better to take half woolen, so as not to prick your neck, and not very fluffy. This scarf does not have to be fluffy. Color - naturally, to taste. Scarf can be monophonic, can combine two or more contrasting colors or one tone, but different shades - in any case, it will be wonderful. It is better not to take too thin yarn to keep the shape, but not thick.

Now let's start knitting. The first thing we do is knit the base - a narrow strip, on which the flounces will subsequently be loosened. We do this very simply, with a mesh, the way you learned to knit stitches with or without a crochet:

• We knit a chain of 15 air loops (VP) plus 3 loop edges;
• we turn the work and: two VPs of the second row, we insert the hook into the thirteenth loop of the chain, we knit a column with a crochet on it. That is, we pass 2 loops in the chain, from which we get a grid cell. And so to the end of the row, then again turn and knit this grid of the length that you need, say, 1.5-2 meters. This will be handled by the child, the only thing is to ensure that the number of cells in the grid does not decrease and does not increase. You can also link them not with a mesh, but a solid canvas with piles with a crochet, but this is superfluous - the heat will not increase much, but the yarn will go much more. And still nobody will see this basis.
• now we proceed to the most important part of the work - knitting the shuttlecock. In this, too, there is nothing complicated, the condition is one - watch hands! That is, knit with the same density, so that the canvas is flat. Well, see to it that you do not miss the loop.
  

Flounces are knitted along, along the long side of the net. First we knit along the edge of the net with fringes without crochets. In each grid cell there are three loops. So we do to the end, we turn, and, at last - the shuttlecock! That is, we need to increase the number of loops in half. Hence, from each loop of the previous row (rims) we unfasten two loops with a crochet. We send the whole length, turn and do the same thing a second time - from each loop of the previous row - two. Then the third row. Here we increase the number of loops only by one and a half times, that is, we untype three loops from two loops. You will not believe, but that's all! The scarf is ready.

If you want to make it even more magnificent - in the same way connect the second shuttlecock from the other end of the grid, if it is a contrasting color, it will turn out just fine. But, as you can see, with one flounce it will be charming. And, in the end, why not tie another scarf?
