However, if a week passed or a little more than that, and the cat again began to emanate frenzied sounds, then the pregnancy passed by.
So, the first sign of pregnancy is a complete lack of interest in the cat. Apart from this, pregnancy is clearly symbolized by the fact that the cat has become very aggressive towards other cats that live in the same area. But in the second half of the course of pregnancy her behavior changes to the opposite. The cat becomes extremely affectionate not only to extraneous animals, but also to man. As for food, the first two weeks the cat eats as before. Nothing in her diet does not change. But after the third week goes by, she suddenly has an aversion to those products she has adored. At the same time, nausea and vomiting appear in the morning, which also indicates the presence of pregnancy. One can be sure that she has a cat's face when she changes her usual behavior to a calmer one. In the same time, her appetite rises, and the dream begins to last much longer than usual. All these signs are manifested in the second half of pregnancy.
During the final period of pregnancy, cats become absolutely apathetic. They are not interested in anything, they will not even go to the street, although the doors are not closed. More and more free time cats begin to spend a dream or a half-doze. It is a dream that takes all the time in a cat after pregnancy.
However, one sign of the behavior of a cat should be said separately. Even if during the whole period the cat does not show not one sign, indicating its interesting position, before the most responsible moment, it will necessarily start to look for a safe place for delivery. This behavior is called nesting and it indicates pregnancy.
In this behavior, the natural instincts of the cat awaken. About fourteen days before the birth, the cat begins to look for a cozy warm place where the first few days it will hold, and hunt together with its kittens. From the point of view of the cat, she chooses a place only for the sake of safety. So do not be surprised when your pet wants to find a secluded nook in your favorite cupboard, on bookshelves and other cozy places.
This is exactly the time when you have to find with your kitty a cozy place in your house and tame it to a box in which she will give birth to a baby. Find the location of the place is necessary with the cat. Let her stop there, where she is best. After all the simple manipulations, you'll have to tell her that this box is best suited for her future birth. Changes to the outside
Again, like last time, there are no signs of any signs in the first weeks. But after the third week is over, the owner will begin to notice changes in the behavior of the cats. True, we will have to try very hard to see them. It's about changing the color of her nipples and skin. When the cat is not pregnant, the color of its nipples is almost no different from the color of the skin on the stomach. If the cat gave birth earlier, the color of her nipple is darker, but still similar to the color of the rest of the skin.
In a pregnant cat, the nipples turn pink. This is very noticeable in cats that give birth to the first time. Although the color often depends on what kind of cat is the breed, how old is she, and what are her individual characteristics. By the way, all nipples do not always darken. Some of them remain the same color as they were before. The increase in nipples during pregnancy is almost unnoticeable. But nevertheless, in the main, the nipples not only become bard, but they swell with considerable force.
After the expiration of three weeks, the cat begins to grow belly. First, this is invisible, but in the second half of pregnancy everything changes. Kittens begin to grow, and the cat's stomach grows much faster. The size of the abdomen depends on how many fruits are in the womb of the mother cat and what size they are. Therefore, if the pregnancy is slow, a change in the abdomen is practically invisible.
At the fifth week, everything becomes visible. If there are many kittens, the cat's cat will swell in front of her, so do not be afraid of her new appearance. Her abdomen will become huge, the skin will become tight, and you, quite possibly, will be able to see the wiggling of the fruits in her living. If the cat's stomach has not changed by this time, then it has few fruits inside. But if you put your hand on her tummy, you will still feel the stirring of the kittens inside.
Approximately seven days before pregnancy, the cat's stomach is pear-shaped, the nipples sag, colostrum appears.
