Infections of female genital organs

Before a girl loses her virginity and begins to lead a sex life, she has very strong biological barriers in her body that protect her from many sexual problems, in particular, from infectious diseases of the reproductive system. The female vagina has an acidic environment, which is deadly for various viruses and bacteria. Mucous cork of the cervix also has bactericidal and protective properties.

Infections of female genital organs occur only with the onset of sexual activity, since during sexual intercourse favorable conditions are created for the penetration of various infections into the vagina, and further into the uterus, into the fallopian tubes, and finally into the ovaries. Infections of the sexual organs of women can also occur against the background of inflammation of neighboring organs of the abdominal cavity, for example, an inflamed appendix.

The most frequent infection with viral infections of the prenatal pathway occurs during sexual contact. In such cases, a man who has infected a woman with a virus is only a carrier of the disease or the disease is asymptomatic and not expressed.

One of the most common viral infections of the genital tract is trichomoniasis. Trichomonas is a moving protozoa that can penetrate the uterus, the ovaries and even the abdominal cavity. This disease can be infected not only during sexual intercourse, but also simply swimming in the pool. Trichomonads are dangerous because they can be carriers of other pathogens. When trichomoniasis appears white or yellow (purulent) foaming discharge from the vagina, itching, burning, heaviness in the abdomen, unpleasant sensations during sex.

Very often Trichomonas is a carrier of the gonococcus, which leads to infection with gonorrhea. Gonorrhea is a purulent inflammation of the genitourinary system, in particular, affects the urethra. Because of this disease, infertility can develop. Symptoms of gonorrhea - white discharge, burning with urination, green discharge with an unpleasant odor. If the disease starts, the temperature may rise, severe pain in the lower abdomen can occur. These symptoms indicate that the disease struck the fallopian tubes.

Also one of the problems with the reproductive organs is their defeat by a yeast fungus. This disease is called thrush or candidiasis. Symptoms - thick white discharge from the vagina, white coating on the genitals, itching, burning. Thrush often occurs on the background of pregnancy, stress, overwork. If a woman gives birth to a yeast fungus bacteria, the baby, passing through the birth canal, also get a candidiasis - the fungus will affect the mucous membranes of the cavity of his mouth.

Another viral disease, sexually transmitted - the herpes virus type 2. Symptoms of this disease are obvious: elevated body temperature, the appearance of painful sores on the genitals, itching, burning, unpleasant and painful sensations during sex.

In this case, you should consult a doctor immediately, because you should begin treatment at the earliest stage of the disease. If you are late with treatment, herpes will become chronic, then getting rid of it will be very, very difficult. Herpes is dangerous because it affects the uterus, epididymis, ovaries and disrupts their normal functioning. Often, herpes leads to infertility. Herpes during pregnancy adversely affects the development of the fetus and can lead to an involuntary interruption of pregnancy at different times. If intrauterine infection of the fetus with the herpes virus occurs, this will lead to the most severe consequences for the baby.

Prevention of infectious diseases of the sexual organs of women should be carried out regularly and in a timely manner. To do this, you need to observe personal hygiene measures, monitor your health in general, avoid overwork and stress, protect yourself during sexual intercourse.

Remember that irregular sex life or its absence contributes to the emergence and development of infections of the female reproductive tract, because in the absence of excitement, stagnation of blood occurs in the genital organs, which means that favorable conditions for the development of infections are created.
