It's hard to judge a film about a religious theme. On the one hand, "do not judge and you will not be judged", but on the other hand, you can not do without a critical attitude towards what is happening on the screen.
"Blessed" Sergei Strusovsky tells us how in a modern society, so cruel and calculating, a person can become a "holy fool" (as far as we know, the Russian church considers these words synonymous). We are immersed in the world of momentary passions surrounding Alexander, and at times tend to think that her bright soul from the experiences of shocks will break, turn black or overgrow with a thick crust of cynicism. But there it was - the girl stands before this onslaught and at the end appears before us detached from the worldly worries ...
It is not known what prompted the director to remove this picture. Perhaps the fate of a real person, or maybe a spiritual impulse. But the fact that the appeal to such a topic is very timely, it seems to me, it is not necessary to explain it.
At the premiere, held April 22 in the shopping center "Yerevan Plaza", the audience was prepared to view this difficult film for a long time and carefully. A couple of words were said by the director Sergei Strusovsky, actors Galina Yatskina and Daniil Strakhov - about the meaning of "Blessed" in modern cinema. Then a very touching song from the film sounded, and before the show they showed the cartoon "Bell", in which the legend about the appearance of bells appeared in churches.
In general, people were ready for a hard and thoughtful viewing, despite the fact that the plot of the picture is quite simple: a girl comes to the capital from the province who wants to study at the artist and draw, draw, draw ... How many variations on this topic, since the legendary comedy "Come Tomorrow" - not count, but before us appeared a completely different story, both eerie and beautiful. Sometimes, literally where the heroine is passing, flowers grow, and faces are lit up with smiles. True, not for long. We used to not notice the beautiful, we have a lot of problems, and they have to be solved. This is what almost all heroes think, except for the believing maid who realizes the whole tragedy of the life of the "blessed" Alexandra.
For myself, I found some parallels with another recently published tape about women's destiny - "Interpreter", where also the main character gets freedom from everyone. But if Julia Batinova remains herself, then the character of Karina Razumovskaya does not belong to herself initially. She serves Love in the true sense of the word, and she does not have a place in the hospital, as it is customary to do with the "mentally handicapped" in society, but in the church.
Without rough spots in the film there were some, but they somehow do not really want to stop. Let the spectator decide how valuable and organic it is. But I will not hear any loud words either, because why should I sing that which is so good, without our odes.
Usually, when the film comes to an end and titles appear, people start jumping right away and making their way to the exit. But in our case, no one was in a hurry, everyone sat silently, as if in a trance, and listened to the music of Alexander Pantykin. Only with the appearance of a girl who announced that "the movie was over", everyone moved and whispered. This episode speaks volumes.
