Solarium or instant tan, which is better?

Summer is already beyond the equator, and the sun is getting hotter every day. And so you want to put on an open dress in a dandy, but the trouble is: you did not have time to get a beautiful chocolate tan. A pale skin in playful incisions and cutouts looks not so attractive. Here and come to the rescue methods of quick sunburn without the sun. The question arises: "Solarium or instant tanning - which is better and safer?" And maybe there are other ways to tan? ..

ALL VEHICLES

To the cult of a tanned body, humanity came relatively recently, when the fashion included a healthy lifestyle and active rest. And before that, for many centuries, sunburn did not pay. "Blanched" in the sun, the skin was excusable to have only commoners, but not noble gentlemen and ladies, carefully watching their appearance. Wives of the ancient Roman patricians, as well as court ladies of the times of Louis XIV, and after them our "Turgenev" girls who lived in the XIX century, assiduously sheltered under shady umbrellas even on the most pleasant summer days. And they boasted ... pale skin, which sometimes had a cyanotic shade. These ladies would be surprised to see our contemporaries flaunting in the middle of the cold northern winter with their almost African appearance - a rich chocolate color!

However, today a moderate tan is considered beautiful, and therefore does not necessarily have to wait until the opening of the beach season. The achievements of civilization gave us a fertile opportunity to acquire an artificial tan.

There are 3 ways to tan without resorting to the sun: go to the solarium, use makeup to create an instant tan or ... eat the pill.

SOLARIUM FOR USE?

Ultraviolet of the real sun is divided into rays of type A, type B and type C. The most harmful to health - the latter. Therefore, solarium lamps of this spectrum do not radiate. As a result, moderate insolation is very useful: immunity rises, the state of health improves with a number of skin diseases, and the mood rises. But you have to be very careful not to hurt yourself.

♦ Lamps of solariums have a certain shelf life, like any product. After about 350 - 500 hours, a phosphor layer burns out in them, which protects the body. But you understand that the salon employees are unlikely to tell you honestly when the lamps were last changed. Therefore, it is better to choose those solariums, in the constructions of which there is a special window, where the time of lamp working is automatically calculated.

♦ Another important rule of visiting the solarium is the use of special protective cosmetics. Only it should not be designed for tanning on the beach, but for similar procedures.

♦ You will also need a cloth cap to protect your hair from drying out, and special glasses.

♦ Sunbathing topless and solarium - a dangerous neighborhood, so take care and about what to cover your chest. You do not want to damage the object of your lady's pride?

♦ You must take a shower 1-2 hours before the session in the solarium. Detergent is better to choose with a neutral pH-formula. A good option is peeling, because the skin cleansed of keratinized particles tan more exactly.

♦ It is unacceptable to use cosmetics before going to the solarium! Any cosmetics - both decorative, and deodorizing is forbidden. After all, it can cause an allergic reaction when interacting with ultraviolet light. And pigmented spots can permanently impair your appearance.

♦ Be sure to consider your skin type before choosing the length of stay under the "artificial sun". With the characteristic of instantly burning out after a few minutes of staying on the beach, you first have to limit yourself to a 3-minute session.

♦ At the end of the procedure, you must sit for a few minutes and never get under a cold shower and do not go out in the cold weather. After all, with such irradiation, the work of almost all organs and systems becomes much more active.

♦ No matter how great your desire to get the desired shade of skin as soon as possible, remember that the maximum duration of one session in a modern solarium is 12 minutes, in installations of earlier development -20 minutes. And more: to take such procedures doctors are advised not more often 1-2 times a week, and after 5-6 sessions it is desirable to make a 10-day break.

♦ And now - the "black list". From visiting solariums it is most reasonable to abstain: in critical days; during pregnancy; when taking hormonal drugs (including contraceptives), as well as antibiotics, tranquilizers, antidepressants, painkillers; in the presence of gynecological diseases, violations in the endocrine system, with diabetes. Ideally, before visiting the solarium, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

"MAGIC" COSMETICS

Those who are not available to the solarium for some reason can purchase an instant tan with the help of special cosmetics. The means for creating an artificial suntan for outdoor use are divided into three types: bronzants (or bronzers), tanning accelerators and autobronts. Bronzants are preparations containing colorants, due to which the skin quickly changes its color. Such compositions are very short-lived, not more than a day. When in contact with water, they are washed away, leaving annoying stains and dirty clothes.

Accelerators of sunburn contain amino acid tyrosine, which promotes more active production of the body's own pigment. It would seem that such cosmetics is much better and should gain unprecedented popularity, but Western doctors and cosmetologists are cautious about it, in many countries there is even a ban on the sale of drugs containing tyrosine, since there is no information on the absolute safety of this substance, alas.

Autobronzants for today - one of the most suitable ways to "tan" without the help of ultraviolet. The active substance in the media of this type is dihydroxyacetone (DHA). Reacting with the proteins of the surface layer of the skin, this substance stains the covers in a brown color. In a few days, when the upper layer of the epidermis exfoliates, such an instant "tan" will disappear. The maximum duration of single use of such cream (spray, milk) is a week.

Autobronzants are not immediately apparent, but gradually, within 3-4 hours. And for their uniform application requires considerable skill. Having decided to "tan" with the help of an autobrozant, remember:

▲ Since the end result is 100 percent difficult to predict, it is better to buy such tools that someone from your acquaintances used already and was satisfied.

▲ Before use, make sure that the composition has not expired, because otherwise you will find a lot of "surprises" - from allergic reaction to "tiger" skin color.

▲ Before applying the auto-bronzant, it is advisable to make a peeling so that the cream is laid more evenly.

▲ If the product is applied to a warmed-up skin (for example, in a hot bath), the skin tint becomes more intense, so it is necessary to cool slightly beforehand.

▲ Do not forget to lubricate the lobes of the ears and skin under the hair, so as not to get the effect of the "African mask".

▲ Apply the autobrush from the bottom upwards - starting with the feet, move to the head. Natural folds (under the knees, in the elbows) do not lubricate as actively as the rest of the body.

▲ After the procedure, wash your hands thoroughly and especially the nails.

▲ If, despite all efforts, the "tan" turned out to be spotty, remove it with a cotton swab dipped in lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide.

▲ With regular use of autobronts, an unpleasant sensation of dry skin may occur. Therefore, in between the procedures, do not forget to pamper your body with moisturizers.

▲ Most autobronts do not contain components that protect the skin from exposure to natural ultraviolet. Therefore, going to the open sun with a false tan, be sure to use sunscreen cosmetics.

TABLET, YES NOT THAT

As for the third method of obtaining the coveted instant tan - taking pills, it is, to put it mildly, not very popular. The active substance of such pills - canthaxanthin, - getting into the human body, causes a change in pigmentation. Depending on the dose taken, you can get a tan of different colors - from carrots to saturated chocolate. It would seem that it's easier: I drank a pill and sunburned, but ... canthaxanthin is far from safe for health. During use, it accumulates in the tissues and causes various malfunctions in the body. This substance is especially dangerous for the eyes, since the largest amount is deposited on the retina. Scientists have not yet fully studied the effect of such drugs and their consequences, so in many countries, including in the US, pills for sunburn are prohibited!

Everyone has an opinion about the solarium or instant tanning - which is better, it's up to you. But before you dye your skin in a bronze shade, it will be superfluous to study the features and possible consequences of such a procedure. After all, no one wants to spend the rest of the summer at home, hiding himself from others, like a failed experiment.
