We eat the fruits of paradise trees

What is a paradise tree? It is an evergreen, fruitful decorative, elegant bush. The bark reminds him of scales of snakes, the leaves look like laurels. But especially exotic fruits look: bright coral, lacquered, with gold scales-sparkles. And this plant is also called - multifloral fir, gummy, cherry lemon, olive, olivine. We grow them at once several varieties and for many years we have been eating the fruits of the paradise trees. By the way, in the cultivation of this plant is very unpretentious ...

The paradise tree ripens, beginning from the last decade of June to the beginning of August, not simultaneously. Yields it pleasantly surprises: 2-4 buckets from an adult 4-meter bush. I have been growing these plants since 1996, and for three years now they have been bearing fruit every year. Varieties of paradise trees are easy to grow, it is easy to engage in its selection. And you can easily select the shape of the plant that is stable in your climate zone. Saplings 50 cm high are already covered with fruits. Simply exotic!

This highly decorative plant is used for single and group plantings and hedges. It successfully fits into the Japanese corner, and will be a joy to you and your children. According to the content of vitamin C, the paradise tree competes only with actinide and rosehip. Paradise tree has no equal, for which it received such a divine name. It is a real storehouse of vitamins and nutrients! Gummi strengthens blood, heart and blood vessels, improves liver and brain function, helps with premenstrual syndrome, regulates vascular tone and their elasticity. I especially recommend to plant an olivine in zones contaminated with radiation, because it contains serotonin, which counteracts irradiation, improves tissue regeneration; also improves vision (with voltage - welding, computer), tk. contains carotenoids, etc.).

Advantages of the plant. High taste qualities of fruits, valuable medicinal properties and decorativeness. The fruits are large, tasty, without unpleasant medical taste and smell, with an early maturity, easily collected and stored for a long time, well-transported. They are unpretentious and relatively easy to grow. Do not give the seedlings, do not clog the site, do not have thorns (unlike sea-buckthorn), recover well after freezing and bear fruit on the shoots of the first year. Do not have enemies and parasites in the conditions of Belarus, do not get sick. Plants of the family of losers do not have the enzyme ascarbinase, which destroys vitamin C, and therefore it remains in the fruit and leaves for a long time during freezing and drying.

Disadvantages. Insufficiently high frost resistance, spiny branches and tartness of fruits in wild types of suckers, lack of fragrance of fruits and gummy flowers (unlike other suckers). In case of overmoistening, acidification of the soil (especially in a closed pound in pots), the roots and unpeeled branches can be damaged by gray rot (which is extremely rare, especially in the open pound), freezing and death from frost.

Varieties

Sakhalin No. 1 - early maturity. The young bark is dark brown with a gray tint and bright sparkles. Fruits 1-1,5 cm, oval-round, dark ruby red, with intense sparkles. The shell of the fruit is dense, the fruits do not flow, do not preyut, fibroids are not affected. Pulp is sweet-sour, jelly-like. Taste pleasant, pineapple and strawberry. Fruits do not crumble, they are transportable with pedicels, they do not mature at the same time. The most delicious variety. Cold-resistant (-28'С), without freezing. Flowering since May 10. Fruiting from June 20 to July 25, the peak of fruiting 5-10 July. Fructification abundant, annual.

Variety Lauda mater Polonia (LMP F 2) - the average maturation period. The variety was studied from 1993 to 2008. The young bark with sparkles, bright, intense-bronze. Flowering from June 10 (or a few days later, the flowers are larger than the Sakhalin No. 1 variety). Fruiting from July 5, lasts until July 25, the peak of fruiting - July 15. The fruits are large, 1.5-2 cm, elongated-oval, light red-coral, spangles are slightly expressed, the envelope of the fruit is tender. Fruits in the beginning are sweet and sour, astringent, then sweet-acid, moderately astringent, refreshing when fully ripe. The grade LMP is cold-resistant (-28'C), but individual branches of 2-3 years old can freeze. In wet years, the fruits are macerated during maturation and partially affected by fruit rot, partial fermentation of fruits or dry maceration is noted. The variety is less transportable, very juicy, suitable for technical processing. The largest and most abundantly fertile yearly, very beautiful.

Although it is believed that the fruits of these plants in our latitudes do not ripen badly, this is not so. This is a very tasty and healthy fruit, at least we eat and the fruits of the trees of paradise are very satisfied. It is a storehouse of vitamins, microelements and everything that is required to maintain health.
