Winter lip care

When winter comes, our lips suffer most, for them it's a hard time, then they especially need active protection and care. The program for care and treatment for sponges can be made for each girl by herself, but this article describes the advice of a beautician to save this part of the female face.

Our sponges

By the nature our lips are gentle, it is connected with features of their construction. They have a very thin layer of epidermis, there is no protective lipid mantle, there are no sebaceous and sweat glands, because of what they quickly dry, do not retain water.

The abundance of capillaries and nerve endings, which are located on the surface, makes the lips extremely vulnerable and sensitive, so they even bleed quite often. And since they do not contain melanin pigment, the lips turn into a target for mechanical damages from ultra-violet rays, resulting in photoaging.

It turns out that our lips, strange as it may sound, are subjected to external attacks almost every minute, because we drink, eat, talk, kiss (unfortunately, there is a risk in such a wonderful and intimate moment).

But our sponges suffer especially during the winter because of the constant drop in temperature: in the rooms the air is dry and warm, and on the street - cold and moist, and as a result we get dry, scaly lips. To save their tone, sensuality, splendor and youth, it is worth adhering to some rules of care.

Cleansing and peeling for the lips

To remove the makeup from the lips it is better not to use foaming mousses and gellide for washing, because they contain an alkali, which dries the epidermis. Prefer alcohol-free lotions or milk with a variety of oils. This will simultaneously provide your mouth with both cleansing and nourishment.

At times, the skin of the lips needs a deeper cleansing to release the surface from the dead cells, renew the circulation of blood, oxygen, restore regeneration processes, strengthen the upper stratum corneum. In addition, on the peeling surface, lipstick looks better and keeps longer.

For deep cleansing, use a special lipstick for the lips. They contain a soft abrasive that can dissolve in water (usually salt, sea sand, sugar), and vegetable oils, extracts, healing components.

But it is not necessary to buy peeling, it can be done with your hands at home in accordance with folk recipes.

Honey Scrub

A teaspoon of honey mixed with soda, add a teaspoonful of olive oil. Spread the lips with a scrub, then rinse. Honey is considered a perfect antiseptic and healing component, this peeling brings benefit if there are cracks on your lips.

Peeling with oatmeal

Take one teaspoon of oatmeal and chop them, mix the resulting mass with a teaspoon of honey. The mixture is applied to the lips and circular movements massage, then rinse and apply a moisturizer.

Peeling based on cottage cheese

Grind a teaspoon of rice, mix with one teaspoon of the cottage cheese. Rub this scrub on the lips, wash it off.

Lip Balm and Cream

If your mouth is peeling and cracking, give preference to balms and special creams containing olive oil, jojoba, shea, almond, coconut oil. They not only promote active treatment of wounds on the skin, but also transform the lips into soft pads, promote the build-up of a protective hydrolipid mantle.

Well moisturizes and nourishes the epidermis of chamomile, aloe juice, and active regeneration provides panthenol.

Even in winter, when it would seem that there is no active sun, we are still subject to an aggressive attack of ultraviolet rays. Therefore, in order to protect the skin and edgeband from their harmful effects, apply lipsticks and balms containing SPF-filters and antioxidants (vitamins B, K, E, coenzyme Q10) in their composition. They will serve as a beautiful shield from ultraviolet radiation and will warn of the occurrence of early aging.

The same role can be performed with regenerating cream for the lips. Kslovu say, they can be applied to the nasolabial triangle area, it is the most exposed to photoaging.

Apply cream and balms for the lips and need for the night, because as a dry air in the apartment adversely affects the epidermis in this period, extracting water from it. While we sleep, active ingredients from medicinal products are absorbed into the deeper layers of the skin, which contributes to the active regeneration of the dermis.
