A gift to my mother on March 8 is best done by myself. Our master class was entrusted to the manufacture of an original casket for storing sewing accessories. - balloon car paint (metallic) - 1 pc
- Super glue
- nail - "weaving", hammer, cross-head screwdriver, pliers, simple pencil, scissors
- the remains of any lace, shingles; several buttons; pins, zippers, etc. (all this will be needed to decorate the casket: there may be a lot of options here)

- It is necessary to wash the jar, dry and degrease external surfaces with alcohol or solvent. If the capacity prepared for work is too high, you need to cut it with scissors and glue it around the rim with a satin ribbon using superglue.
Important! Work with glue is very careful not to get on the skin.
- Now you just need a lid. It is necessary to lay out the prepared ornaments on its surface, making a certain thematic composition that would please your mother. Since the main purpose of the casket is the storage of sewing accessories, the decor should also correspond to the content.
Note: Try to use lace or pieces of mosquito net in work: after painting they look extraordinarily effective and original. And more: from soft tin can make small scissors. You need to draw their silhouette first on paper, then transfer to metal and cut. In the center, paste a small bead or something suitable.
We glue the decor. You can follow the example shown in the photo, but you can do everything differently, without forgetting that this is a gift to mom on March 8.
- Easily pressing the cap of the can with paint, smooth movements need to cover the prepared lid. Typically, car paint dries within 5 minutes. After the first coat has dried, it is necessary to apply the paint again. Try not to direct the jet to the same place for a long time: it can lead to sweating.
- At the bottom of the can, on the outside, you need to mark with a pencil the location of the screw holes. Do not make holes too close to each other: there may be difficulties with tightening the nuts. The optimal distance is 3.5 cm.
- Next, using a nail and a hammer, punched holes. It is necessary to make sharp and strong blows.
- Now you need to screw the screws from the outside. On the inside of the can, fasten them with washers and nuts. Clamp the nut with a pair of pliers and screw it with the screwdriver until it stops.
Important! Do not overdo it by twisting the screws: otherwise the bottom of the can is deformed, and the gift box will lose its appearance.
- Glue the decor on the sides of the can and cover it with paint.
Tip: the inner surfaces of the cans do not need to be covered with paint. Here you can act at will.
After the final drying, with acrylic paints you can give the box a light tone. But if you are not sure about your artistic abilities, then it is not necessary.
