Breastfeeding of children

What can be more important than the healthy and full development of your child? All the most useful, necessary, valuable is absorbed by the baby with the mother's milk. Knowing everything about breastfeeding is the whole science that every woman needs to comprehend.

Mom's milk is the most delicious for your crumbs. In addition, it is not only very tasty, but also useful for the child, as it stimulates the growth of microflora and forms immunity, it contains regulators for the growth and development of the baby.
No dry mixes and cereals bought in stores, and even cow or goat milk can protect the child from various infections. This is only possible in breast milk, because it contains substances that ensure the normal operation of the infant's unripe intestines.

Often young and inexperienced mothers take a yellowish or more often transparent liquid for milk - it's colostrum. It is more rich in proteins and antibodies than mature milk.

In maternity hospitals, doctors use this practice - after the birth of a baby, they immediately put it to mother's breast. And it is right! Why? It is very important that the first drops of colostrum baby received, barely born.

Mature milk is milk, which comes in a few days after the birth of a child in a larger quantity than colostrum. It is customary to separate the "front" and "back" milk.

The child receives the "front" milk at the beginning of the feeding, it has a grayish - bluish hue and that is why, when he sees it, young mothers often think that their milk is liquid and the baby does not eat at them. This is not so - the "front" milk is rich in proteins and sugar.

At the end of feeding, the baby gets "back" milk. It has a white, and sometimes creamy color, because it contains a huge amount of fat, which makes it high-energy. While sucking this milk, the baby is saturated, but if you stop feeding earlier, he will remain hungry.

When breastfeeding, there is no need to water a child, even if it is hot outside or the baby has a fever. Before the introduction of complementary feeding, breast milk provides the child with both "food" and "water".

Breast milk is absorbed faster than various infant formulas, which means that the baby will eat more often.

In the first months of life of your baby, weight gain on average is from half to one kilogram monthly. If the baby has recovered, not having reached the specified norm, do not rush to buy baby food. Do not wait for your baby to cry, do not pause for 2 to 3 hours between feedings, and feed the child more often: as soon as he wants, showing the first signs of hunger Sometimes enough 7 to 8 feedings a day, and sometimes 10-12 time. Be patient.

How to recognize if a child is hungry or not?

If the baby is hungry, he actively moves the handles, bring them to his mouth, begins to smack his tongue, his salivation increases. The most desperate and extreme method is crying.

Do I need to wash my chest before feeding?

Children's doctors very often say: "Before each feeding, wash your chest with soap." Allow me to object: it is not so! Soap, gels help to remove the natural fatty grease, which is necessary to prevent the occurrence of cracks. Breast milk itself has disinfectant properties, so before feeding there is no urgent need to wash the juices and breasts, it is enough just to wash your hands with soap.

What causes a small amount of milk from a nursing woman?

It happens that my mother has very little milk. The most common reason for this is the rare feeding of the baby by the breast or its feeding strictly by the hour (2 to 3 hours between feedings). Another reason is the lack of feeding the baby at night, especially if the mother stops feeding before the baby has time to eat. Insufficient saturation leads to the fact that the child does not have time to get fat "rear milk", and therefore, a sufficient number of calories, poor sucking of milk from the breast leads to a decrease in its production.

Incorrect attachment to the breast is also the cause of a small amount of milk, as the child sucks ineffectively, and this, in the future, entails an inadequate production of milk.

The baby will suck less of the breast if additional supplementation is introduced into his diet before 5-6 months. Consequently, the production of breast milk will decrease.

Rules of breastfeeding.

Take a comfortable position. Keep the child in such a way that he does not have to reach for your breasts. There is a rule that must be remembered: the child must be attracted to him during feeding, and not you to reach for him. Your nipple should be at the level of his mouth. Turn it to the barrel so that with your tummy it touches your abdomen. Hold it back, make sure it's comfortable for him. Do not move the chest, otherwise the child can not grasp it and it will be hard for him. If the toddler is too restless or drowsily, touch gently to his lips or cheek, you can also lightly touch his nipple, this will attract his attention. A drop of mother's milk on the surface of the nipple - a wonderful stimulant appetite crumbs. If you saw that the child has opened his mouth wide - slowly bring him closer to him, so that he starts sucking movements.

There are many positive aspects of breastfeeding in psychological terms
Breastfeeding forms a close relationship between the mother and the child, which later becomes a deep affection and tenderness that lasts a lifetime.

Breastfeeding of children contributes to a greater psychological security of the child. Such babies cry less, behave more calmly.

And be sure to remember: do not stop breastfeeding if the child is not ready for this, if he does not want it. Breast milk is for the baby a natural protective against infectious diseases.
