Carrots are an excellent source of vitamins C, B, D, E. It contains a lot of trace elements and minerals, such as: calcium, potassium, iron, phosphorus, iodine, magnesium, manganese. Carrots contain physiologically active substances, essential oils - enzymes, sterols other compounds, so necessary for our body. _ It should be remembered that carotene, which is contained in carrots, is better absorbed if it is added to salads and filled with vegetable oil. Carrots in boiled form contains more useful substances, rather than in raw form. As experts say after cooking carrots, it increases the level of antioxidants by 34% and if cooked carrots are stored, then it appears more useful substances than in fresh carrots. This is due to the fact that if you store cooked carrots, then it creates new compounds with large antioxidant properties.

In medical nutrition, carrots are used in the form of juice or in kind. Carrot has a curative effect on the body:

1. Grated carrots and carrot juice have a restorative effect on the body. They increase the activity of internal organs, normalize the metabolism, remove harmful substances and toxins from the body, purify the blood. The use of carrots is useful for anemia and beriberi.

2. Consumption of carrots increases the content of antioxidants in the blood, which allows, especially in the elderly, to strengthen the body's immune system, reduce the risk of cancer, stimulate the growth of healthy cells.

3. Carrots are useful in diseases of atherosclerosis, cardiovascular system and at elevated blood pressure.

4. Carrot juice helps to cleanse the liver, removes sand and small stones in kidney stones, is useful in the violation of the liver and kidneys.

5. Carrots improve digestion, eliminates hemorrhoids and constipation.

6. Carrots are used in inflammatory processes in the oral cavity, with stomatitis, catarrh of the upper respiratory tract, with visual disturbances. A mixture of carrot juice and honey is used for sore throat.

7. In folk medicine, carrot juice and grated carrots are applied to wounds, frostbitten skin areas, ulcers, burns. Excessive consumption of carrots will lead to the fact that the skin can acquire a yellow or orange tint.

Use carrots can smooth and refresh the skin. For any facial skin, take a tablespoon of grated carrots, mix with a tablespoon of oatmeal and yolk. Dilute this mixture with a small amount of milk. Take a teaspoon of grated carrots or carrot juice, mix with a teaspoon of cream or a teaspoon of fresh cottage cheese. Take a tablespoon of puree from boiled carrots, add a teaspoon of oatmeal, raw yolk and a teaspoon of vegetable oil. Must get a thick mixture. Masks for oily skin
