Cesarean section: the correct way out?

Modern mothers are trying their best to facilitate pregnancy and childbirth. So recently, many of them prefer to do cesarean section under general anesthesia even without any special evidence, just to not suffer the pain. There is even talk of a cesarean section. But few people think about the consequences of such a decision, about the danger and possible complications.
Of course, you can negotiate with a doctor and for a fee to conduct such an unscheduled operation, but will this be the best solution? We will see.

What is Caesarian section?
Caesarean section is a serious cavitary operation. In order to remove the child, you have to cut the abdominal wall and the uterus. Such an operation is performed under general anesthesia or with epidural anesthesia. General anesthesia can adversely affect the child, whereas epidural anesthesia can cause a sharp drop in blood pressure in the mother.
The abdominal wall is now most often cut horizontally just above the pubis. This is the so-called cosmetic incision, the seam from which eventually turns into a thin white line. Unlike the vertical seam, the seam from such interference is almost not noticeable.
The child is removed from the incision either by hand or using special forceps. After the extraction from the uterus of the afterbirth, it is sewed up, then the abdominal cavity is sewn, after which an ice pack is placed on the stomach for several hours.
The first few days after cesarean section, a woman is under the close supervision of doctors. In the first hours after the operation, it is allowed to drink only a little water, and nutrients are introduced into the body with the help of a dropper. Then gradually begins the introduction of familiar products, to a normal diet, a woman can return only on the fifth day after the operation.

Moving a young mother can only a few days after Caesarean section, in addition, any movement will be very painful. In addition, the seam needs to be processed and bandaged several times a day. And this is an additional unpleasant sensation. It should be added that any birth in itself is not a simple test, a voluntary operation will only complicate the situation.

After the operation, the young mother and baby will be able to be discharged only after 10 days, and the next delivery can be scheduled no earlier than in 2 years.

Is it worth doing such an operation?
About the benefits of caesarean section say a lot, but in fact there are only two: the state of the vagina is not disturbed and pain is not felt. The disadvantages are much greater.
First, the risk of getting the infection into the body is great. Secondly, with this operation, there is a large loss of blood. Thirdly, the bowel function is weakened, which can cause problems. Fourth, the restoration takes much longer than after the usual birth, which makes it difficult to care for the baby. Fifth, pain after surgery is inevitable, which can last several weeks, whereas women want to leave everything unpleasant in the past and give themselves to caring for the newborn. After caesarean section this is impossible.

It is believed that caesarean section causes minimal harm to the health of the baby, with natural childbirth the risk of various complications increases. But babies born with such surgery are at high risk of developing respiratory diseases, there may be a prolonged general lethargy. Of course, with the necessary intervention, this is actually not important, but if the operation is not planned, then it is better to abandon it in favor of natural childbirth.

If you are afraid of pain, now there are enough ways to make childbirth as painless as possible. In order to get epidural anesthesia, it is not necessary to lie under the knife. Now it is done by everyone who wishes, which greatly facilitates the process of childbirth. If you are still inclined to give birth in this way, learn about Caesarean section as much as possible. Ask your doctor, talk with those women who have gone through such an operation and make a decision, we will weigh all the pros and cons.
