Dr. Lisa was among those killed in a plane crash in Sochi

Today in the morning the tragic news became known. A Russian plane crashed over the Black Sea, which was sent to Syria with a humanitarian mission. All 83 passengers and 8 crew members were killed.

Among the dead was Elizabeth Glinka, more known as "Dr. Liza." We want to talk more about this incredible woman, thus giving her a memory of her bright memory.

Who is "Dr. Lisa"?

Elizabeth Glinka devoted her entire conscious life to helping people who lost their last hope of salvation. As a resuscitation physician, she fought for the lives of seriously ill, disadvantaged people, rescued children affected by military conflicts in the Donbass and, more recently, in Syria.

Thanks to her efforts, the "Just Aid" Foundation was organized to save single, destitute and hopelessly sick pensioners and disabled people who lost their homes and livelihoods.

Employees of the fund are engaged in the distribution of food and medicine to the homeless, and also organize for them heating and first aid posts. With her active participation, a network of hospices for dying cancer patients was established in Moscow and Kiev.

Dr. Lisa personally took part in the collection of funds for victims of forest fires in 2010 and floods in Krymsk in 2012. Since the beginning of the military confrontation in the Donbass, Elizabeth has regularly traveled to the east of Ukraine with humanitarian missions, delivering the necessary medicines and equipment for hospitals, and on the way back, taking the seriously wounded children who were being sent to Russian hospitals for treatment. Last week, she brought 17 children from Donbass to provide professional assistance in specialized medical institutions in Russia.

Colleagues about Elizaveta Glinka: "It was her mission to save the lives of others"

Shocked by the tragic death of Elizabeth Glinka, her colleagues remember:
This she organized for children with amputated limbs shelter, where they undergo rehabilitation after the hospital. This she, along with other members of the HRC, was wandering around the SIZOs and colonies in different parts of the country, trying to listen to everyone who needed it, to help everyone. She literally knocked out money from regional leaders to help hospices, hospitals, shelters, boarding schools. To save the lives of others - it was her mission everywhere: in Russia, in Donbass, in Syria.

For her human rights activities Elizaveta Glinka this year received an award from the hands of President Vladimir Putin.
