How to teach a child to count and write? Are there any reliable ways to develop curiosity, logical, spatial and imaginative thinking, ability to concentrate from the kid? If you still do not know the answer to these questions, then you should know that for half a century already, for the joy of many parents, there is a Japanese method of teaching children of Kumon.

It involves step-by-step execution of a variety of developmental exercises - from simple to more complex. Among them are such as labyrinths, coloring pages, carving, oral counting and appliqués. Children are happy to perform these exciting tasks, along the way improving the necessary skills. In Russia, several series of famous Kumon notebooks have already appeared, and one of the last is "Preparing for school" for children from four years old. In total in this series there are five notebooks, and each of them is useful to the future schoolboy. Here are some types of tasks that will turn learning into a fun game.
  1. Labyrinths. Help to train logical thinking and perseverance in achieving goals.

  2. Distinguish shapes and colors. Every first-grader should be able to do this.

  4. Cutting. Useful for training spatial thinking and fine motor skills, affects the development of certain areas of the brain.

  5. Coloring. Training of fantasy, fine motor skills and artistic perception.

  6. We learn to glue. These classes also develop fine motor skills, and they also help shape the child's imaginative thinking and make it more attentive.
