Assortment and consumer properties of perfumery

Many of us use perfumes every day. Perfume, eau de toilette, cologne - these words are always on our ears. But few people wondered about the difference in these perfumery. If you were asked this question, our article "Assortment and consumer properties of perfumery" is for you.

Assortment of perfumery

Perfume (perfumed) water. Eau de Parfum - perfume, which is very close to the spirits. Perfume water in its concentration of essential oils is between the toilet water and perfume. Its perfume composition consists of 12-13 percent of aromatic raw materials in 90 percent alcohol. Basics are many, the middle is more pronounced, and the share of the basic aroma is reduced. Perfume water replaces spirits in the afternoon, therefore it is called still day spirits.

Consumer properties of perfumed water. Initially, perfume water was intended for business women. In comparison with perfume, perfume water does not irritate the surrounding. In comparison with toilet water, it is more resistant lasts up to five hours, so if necessary, you can use it twice a day. Apply perfume water on clothes and skin in small quantities. Do not apply to pearls, silk or fur.

Eau de Toilette. In our country, toilet water is in high demand. Eau de Toilette - from 6% to 12% of the concentrate is diluted in 85% alcohol. Some fragrances exist only in this concentration - Week-End, h'Eau par Kenzo, Petits et Mamans, Eau Belle, Eau d'Eden, Cool Water Woman. Men's perfumes are mainly offered in the form of toilet water.

Compare the toilet water with spirits of one line: the minuses of toilet water - is consumed more, because the stamina is not more than 3 hours (the perfume lasts up to ten hours), the fragrance of toilet water is less interesting. Advantages of toilet water - the price is affordable; several types of formats - 30 ml, 50ml, 75ml, 100ml; many like a faint fragrance; ease of use, mainly in the form of a spray.

Toilet water may be enough for daytime use, however, for ceremonial events it will not work, you can use toilet water along with other related products, and it is best to use the most concentrated flavor.

Cologne. Eau de Cologne - odoriferous substances from 3% to 5% is diluted in 70-80% alcohol. The designation of Cologne in American perfumery corresponds to the designation of toilet or perfumed water from France.

Eau de Cologne is an analogue of Eau de Toilette, as today it is most often found on vials with aromatic liquids intended for men. And if used in aromatic fluids for women, which also happens, although very rarely, then the perfume product will have the lightest flavor.

In aromatic liquids of general use, the same expression is used in relation to a refreshing liquid that has a cool, specially emphasized citrus effect.

Refreshing water. L 'Eau Fraiche, Eau de Sport - sports water, perfume composition up to 3% is diluted in 70-80 percent alcohol. This perfume usually has a citrus smell. In perfumery there are means with a modest designation; nevertheless, they exist exclusively in this form, namely there are no corresponding Eau de Parfum and Parfum. In this case, the Eau is part of the name, for example, Eau Souvage or Eau de Rochas. As a rule, all these "perfume waters" have a light concentration of Eau de Toilette, intended for use throughout the day (after training), are distinguished by their freshness.

Sprays. Part of the perfume on the skin is applied by hand. Part of the perfume is made in spray versions - Atomiseur Vaporisateur, Natural Spray, Spray.

Advantages of the spray - the shelf life is practically unlimited, since the aromatic liquid does not come into contact with air. Spray - aerosol, the bottle is filled with liquid under pressure, with the help of gas. When you press the head, the spirits sprinkle the smallest fires. The fragrance released from the spray appears a little differently, especially at the initial moment. Sprayed liquid immediately and completely depletes the aroma, and the aroma of ordinary perfume manifests itself after a time, after it is affected by human heat.

A natural spray, usually written on all vials equipped with a spray. There is no gas in them, and the spraying is carried out thanks to the head itself, which acts like a pump. Stored the same as the bottles that do not have a spraying device, the smell is more slowly opened than in aerosols filled with pressure. But after a while, aerosols were given a bad name, because the negative properties of perfumery of this kind were discovered, in particular, the ability of hydrocarbon compounds that contain chlorine and fluorine atoms to destroy the ozone layer in the atmosphere. Therefore, at present they are not used, but gases that do not harm the environment are used. And now, if the product is labeled Spray, then safely use it.

Due to the fact that there is no air inside, they are stored for a long time, besides they are sprayed with special care. And therefore, they are ideal for women who at the same time use different spirits, which means they are consumed slowly.

As a rule, aerosol bottles for purely technical reasons are made without imagination.

Spray has approximately the same concentration of odorous substance as the product without aerosol packaging. But here the spirits, especially initially manifest in a different way. That is, when evaluating perfumes that have aerosol packaging, do not wait long.

Vaporisateur, Atomiseur - French designations, which, unfortunately, are used, is not so deliberate as the English notation is used.

For example, Atomiseur most often means the same as Spray. A designation Vaporisateur means the same as the Natural Spray, there are cases when used and vice versa.

Spanish and Italian firms mostly take French designations, German and English firms use American designations, but as a rule, the choice of language is not carefully considered, therefore it is possible to meet in the same series both the French Eau de Toilette and American Parfum Spray.
