Remember, when we were still schoolchildren, at the lessons of labor for the New Year we made different toys, including garlands. Now we have our children and it's time to remember how to make garlands by yourself.
For garlands we will need:
- Colored paper.
- Cardboard.
- Scissors.
- PVA glue.
- Brushes.
- Stapler.
- Threads or ribbons for fixing garlands.

Chain
This is the simplest, school version of garlands. Instruct her to do her child. Cut a lot of different colored strips of the required length and width. From the first strip we make a ring, gluing together the edges. Push the second strip into the ring, lubricate the edges and glue. Continuing this way, further we get a paper chain.
Spiral
Also a school version. Take the correct length and width of the strip of colored paper. Now take one end of the two strips and glue them together at an angle of 90ยบ. Now we spit a spiral. To help you understand the technique of weaving, put the ribbon so that one ribbon looks left (tape 1), the other - down (tape 2). Take tape 1 and bend it to the right, tape 2 - up, tape 1 - left, tape 2 - down. Then we repeat everything again and continue to the end of the tape, the ends are sealed. If you need a very long garland of paper, then make short fragments, and then glue them together.
Serpentine
Take a paper of a certain width. Now with one long side we make cuts, but do not cut to the end 1-2 cm depending on the width of the tape. After that, we make the same incisions on the other hand, only position them between opposite cuts. When you unfold the garland, you will get a very long thin ribbon, something reminiscent of serpentine. Similarly, you can cut and folded in half the leaf, only the shape of the garland will be different.
Garland of figurines
To do this in advance from the cardboard we make a template of the desired figure, for example penguin, Santa Claus or Snowman. Completely draw all the details and color for the sample. Do not forget about the handles with which the figures will hold on to each other. Now take the thick paper of the main color (for the snowman white, for the penguin - black) and add the accordion so that the width of the segment corresponds to the width of the figure.
We superimpose the outline and outline it. Now cut out the figure without touching the "handle". When you unroll the accordion, you will receive a whole series of figures holding hands. It remains only to paint the figures or glue to them details, such as noses, scarves, paws. This garland is good in that you can not only make the same figures in appearance, but also make them different, for example, by dressing everyone in your outfit.
Curtain of snowflakes
With your hands from the paper you can make a curtain of snowflakes. It will be very unusual to look at a window or near a chandelier. To do this, we take a thick paper of white, silver and holographic colors and cut out of them snowflakes of various shapes, but approximately the same size. On a long silvery rain we string a snowflake and fasten it with a knot. After a certain distance, attach the second snowflake, the third and so on to the end. Make a lot of these garlands and fasten them in the form of a curtain on a long cardboard thick tape, or nodules through hole holes. Instead of snowflakes you can take the hearts.
