In Europe and America, traveling with animals has become commonplace: one out of every five people goes on vacation with a dog or a cat. Some do not even mind taking with them a favorite ... a horse, though, a trip with such a companion flies in penny. As for our compatriots, most of them still prefer to travel without Murok and Sharikov. Only a few go on vacation together with four-legged friends. What kind of animal shows voyages, and what better to leave at home?

Representatives of the cat family, left under the supervision of neighbors, most likely, will calmly transfer the separation from the owner. Just do not put temporary owners "pig" - in the sense of a cat, not accustomed to the tray.
Rodents and birds will also survive parting with their owners more than quietly, so dragging around the world a cage with a hamster, a chinchilla or a parrot is useless. Especially since caring for them will not be very difficult for neighbors. Well, fish generally do not care who feeds them and turns on the light in the aquarium.
Difficult with dogs. Parting with the owner - a strong stress for the balls, regardless of whether they remain with well-known people or in the zoo. Many pets in the separation literally wither away, refusing to eat or even drink. Rottweilers, Central Asian and German shepherds, bulldogs, mastiffs and hunting breeds especially do not like the changes. But poodles, retrievers and dobermanns quickly adapt to a new way of life. Do not you have the opportunity to take the animal with you? Be sure to introduce it in advance with a new home, be it your friend's apartment or room in an animal hotel. Several times, visit there on a visit, then leave the animal there for 2-3 hours and, if the beast with the tutor gets in touch, calmly pack the suitcases. And do not forget to bring the dog to his new residence his favorite bowl, toys and bedding. These things smell like home - next to them the dog will easily survive the days of separation.
Tip: throwing a pet to friends or relatives, keep in mind that this is only permissible if you leave for a short while, otherwise care of the animal will become too burdensome. Living at a cynologist or a breeder will not be expensive, but the approach to the animal will be professional. The only negative - no documents, as a rule, do not subscribe, therefore, in case of force majeure, it will be difficult to defend one's rightness ... The most expensive option is a zoo hotel, but at the same time it's the most reliable one: you stipulate everything in advance - from accommodation to cleaning of the eyes and ears. On the reservation of the room, take care in advance: in the summer the zoo hotels are overcrowded!
All my burden with me?
If your pet - whether it's a dog, a cat, a guinea pig or a canary - recognizes you only and does not get along with strangers, it makes sense to take it with you. Even if you plan to spend your holidays in the Canary Islands. And if you go to the country - even more so! Problems associated with a long move should not arise. True, some animals, more often dogs, begin to rock in the car. Do not wait for the poor man to start vomiting: stop for 10 minutes and give him a treat for good behavior. After 15 minutes - again stop and a treat. And so all the way. First you have to move "short dashes", then increase the duration of the trip. And soon the car will be a second home for the dog.
Tip: Train the vestibular apparatus of the dog beforehand, without waiting for the "X hour", when you have to go, and you will insure the pet and learn how the animals endure unfavorable conditions. Cats and rodents carry only in special carryings, otherwise they can climb under the pedals of the car or suddenly jump on the shoulders of the driver.
