Today we will consider one of these important questions - how to behave properly during childbirth.
In the first period of labor with each contraction, the fetus receives less and less oxygen. Therefore involuntarily your breathing becomes deep. Breathe deep during the bout - inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth. So you will provide the baby more air access, help him cope with hypoxia. It is also necessary to breathe properly - easily and freely. Your breath will not bring any benefit to the baby, if you breathe in convulsively, and exhale with jerks. Imagine that the air, like water, flows into your lungs and benefits your baby. Help him to appear more quickly and during each fight breathe properly.
Your position during the battles may be the one in which you are most comfortable to be. If there are no contraindications from the obstetrician-gynecologist, then you can stand or walk. If you prefer to endure contractions lying down, then select the position on the side, bending your knees. You can gently stroke the lower abdomen during a fight. Stroking is performed, barely touching the skin, with the fingertips of both hands in the directions from the center of the abdomen in different directions. Such movements can anesthetize the process of childbirth. Stroking is best done in time with the breath, but you can repeat to yourself: "I'm calm. I control everything that happens to me. I'm not afraid. I help my baby to be born. "Such auto-training helps to escape distress from pain and accelerate the birth process.
In order to reduce the pain during a fight, you can conduct a self-paced massage. From the front, it is necessary to press lightly on the points near the upper edges of the iliac bones, and at the back - to the points of the outer corners of the lumbar rhombus. Pressing the indicated points from the front is done with the thumbs. Use a slight vibration of your finger when pressing. To make point massage of the dots from behind, place clenched fists under the lumbar rhombus.
Keep track of the duration of labor. At the end of each bout, give the body maximum rest - try to relax. After the end of the fight, tell yourself that your uterus has opened a little further, and that very soon your baby will be born, you just need to wait a little.
If you are unbearably sick and you are close to losing consciousness, let the doctor know about it. In such situations, doctors can help the mother in labor, and anesthetize the contractions. But remember that any medicines introduced to a woman during childbirth adversely affect the child's condition. A kid can be born in a state of drug depression, and this greatly complicates his adaptation to the world around him.
In the first stage of labor due to a strong change in the tone of the autonomic nervous system, and also because of the opening of the cervix, many women experience vomiting. If at the same time you do not feel dizzy, there is no pain in the stomach, flashing of flies before your eyes, then this is quite a natural phenomenon. Vomiting is mostly single and does not require medical intervention. After vomiting, rinse your mouth well with water and take a sip or two, but do not drink a lot of water so as not to provoke a new attack.
With the completion of the first period of labor, you will be transferred to the birthplace. In the second period of labor in the parturient woman begins attempts. The attempts should also be managed independently. The effectiveness of attempts is controlled by an obstetrician-gynecologist and a midwife. Efficiency of attempts depends on the correctness of your posture and on whether you are stuck right.
When you lie on the birth table, the shoulders should be raised, the legs should be firmly resting on the table, hands grasp the special handrails. Take a deep breath, hold your breath, close your mouth, tighten. After the end of the effort, you need to relax, breathe deeply. Each time, attempts are stronger and stronger. The most powerful attempts are when the head of the child passes through the pelvis. As soon as the baby's head is shown in the birth gap, the midwife can help, which will protect the perineum from ruptures. Accurately follow all the recommendations of the doctor and midwife. Do not forget that the baby's head goes outside outside of the vortex, so you need to restrain the reflex of exertion when the midwife says about it. In order to hold back the reflex, relax and breathe through the mouth, without holding your breath.
We wish you a light birth!
